1  COOKING / Vegetarian / Vegan / Re: Vegan Banh Mi/Vietnamese Sandwiches on: April 30, 2014 08:19:33 AM
Looks good!

I should make some for my family - who loves the banh mi sandwiches made in town, (they have meat in 'em), but they are terrified of the raw pork sausages that go into 'em.
2  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / First Attempt at Nail Stickers at Home... on: March 20, 2014 07:59:03 PM
These were made with top/base coat, red/white/blue acrylic paint, purple marker...

I suck at applying 'em.  (Two hours, and way too many brain cells.)

3  COOKING / Dessert / Re: whoppers on: March 03, 2014 07:27:28 AM
I'm sure this has been done before, but I tried these and was pretty happy with the results.
They aren't exactly round or all the same size, but they taste just like the whoppers that you buy.  Better, actually because you can use whatever chocolate you prefer.

Here's what I did:

Melt one half cup of almond bark in the microwave.
Add one half cup of malt powder and stir well.
Form into little balls and set on waxed paper to harden.
Melt chocolate of your choice (I used Ghirardelli 60% cacao).
Dip hardened malt in melted chocolate and set on waxed paper to dry.

Eat and enjoy.

Yum!  I have ovaltine malt powder.  I may make these soon.  Cheesy

5  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Easy Dark Chocolate Pudding From Scratch on: December 01, 2013 09:29:17 PM
Yum.  Might make this for a family get together.  I'm not a big sweets fan, but this will please all the sweet teeth in my family!
6  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: Washi/Duck Tape Decorated Toenails on: October 27, 2013 07:03:51 PM
Awesome!

I don't have the patience to deal with real nail polish, and these would look perfect on my awful toenails.  Smiley

Thank you, lancmaltby!  Sorry for the late posting.  My photos were on my Nintendo 3DS and I've been currently obsessed with Pokemon X.  Smiley

The bucket and the cute crafted item!  (It's a Mr. Saturn plushie - wearing a removable witch's hat!)

Halloween bobble heads:  (so cute...)

Skeleton Bag!  (amazing - I'm using it as a games holder in my purse!)

Creepy Earrings!

Halloween Themed Socks (I love the nerdy ghost - it's definately my type!)

Loving the weeping angel plushie!  (*backs away slowly whilst staring at it*)

I love those caramel apple lollipops - I found a whole bunch in the dollar store the other day, and I'm afraid half the bag is already gone!

Mmmmmm...halloween candy!  (I have a few preparations for halloween soon.)
9  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Weekend Trick or Treat Swap Gallery on: October 09, 2013 07:56:14 PM
Major swap anxiety this time around.  (I sent some local treats - most ______ chips, some sweeties from my childhood memories of them, and some uniquely Canadian things.)

I love the goodies - the bookmarks are so beautiful!
