SPEW: n/a
House: Gryffindor
Project Name: Nut Scarves with Pattern ~ Keep Your Nuts Toasty!
Brief Description: I looked up in the sky...prepared to divine the cloud shapes...when I spied, well see for yourself...

Do you see him?  Do you see Mr. Peanut in the clouds??!

You know...Mr. Peanut...

Well I took it as a sign that the nuts need me!  I must keep my nuts toasty.

Did you know once roasted, it is imperative that you keep your nuts nice and toasty?  I find the best way to do this is to keep on hand Nut Scarves.

Remember, a warm nut is a happy nut. Cool

2  Nut Scarves with Pattern ~ Keep Your Nuts Toasty! in Crochet: Completed Projects by pinkleo on: April 01, 2014 03:17:17 PM
Once roasted, it is imperative that you keep your nuts nice and toasty.  I find the best way to do this is to keep on hand Nut Scarves.  And they are super simple to make.  Grab some oddball worsted and a G hook.  Chain 23-30 stitches (sizing depends on your nuts...the larger the nut, the more chains needed).  End off & trim the ends.  And TA-DA, you have yourself a Nut Scarf.  Happy hooking & Remember...

Keep Your Nuts Toasty! Grin

Swap Details
For this swap, you will create a Harry Potter "box," filled with treats, for your partner. This "box" will have a theme.  A few examples are: a Potions kit, Hogwarts trunk, Quidditch set, Dementor's Repelling Repertorie box, Gryffindor Goodies box, I Love Luna Lovegood box, Snape's Secret Wardrobe box.  You are to use your partner's questionnaire as inspiration.  And your "box" or container can be of any shape and material (meaning it doesn't have to be a literal box).

Sizes: The "box" should be at least a medium.  And you will fill the box with at least one medium and three smalls. (Making our total swap requirements 2 mediums and 3 smalls)  Here's a handy ~*PORTKEY*~ to swap size info.

For a wonderful swap experience, communication is the key.  Please keep in touch with your partner.  Further, it would be nice if you would post in this thread at least once a week (you could just stop in for a quick hello.....or if on holiday or will be without internet access or anything of the such, just post a message....it gives your partner and organizer warm fuzzy feelings to know you are still around).

SWAP DECREE: All swappers MUST post at least once in the swap thread.  Please do this before sending your questionnaire; this will help things run smoothly.  Thanks in advance for doing this. Grin

If you want to participate, information to send to organizer: (Remember to send your info to your organizer via Private Message (PM) and not to reply with it here)

8  ~* pinkleo's Sugar Violet Bean*~ in Craftalongs by pinkleo on: March 18, 2014 12:49:56 PM
Challenge: Bertie Bott's Sugar Violet Bean, a craft inspired by Petunia Dursley
SPEW: n/a
House: Gryffindor
Project Name: A Very Muggle Dishcloth
Brief Description: Petunia Dursley is a stereotypical middle-class housewife who keeps her home impeccably clean.  One can see how she perceives cleanliness as a way to keep up her good-standing with muggles as she spends the day cleaning and cooking in preparation for the dinner with Mr. & Mrs. Mason...of course she forces Harry to do chores while she prepares roast pork and a huge pudding of whipped cream and sugared violets.  So I present to you a very muggle, non-magical dishcloth that I'm sure even Petunia would approve of.
