1  Re: Disney Princesses and a Graduation Card! in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by dressuponacloudyday on: July 27, 2013 09:41:35 AM
Thanks you guys! I love that you can make your own designs and use all your own fonts with the cameo, so even though it's kinda pricey, I splurged on it. I think it'll be worth it because it'll be great for all the stencilling I do too.

Elle I think the one near the end in the first row in the purple is Rapunzel:

Haha yeah Marienka, the one on the right top is Aladdin.

2  Disney Princesses and a Graduation Card! in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by dressuponacloudyday on: July 26, 2013 07:52:30 PM
So I just got a silhouette cameo earlier this week and I've been having so much fun with it so far! I found these awesome templates for a ton of disney characters on Lettering Delights, and I went crazy and made a bunch of them. I also designed my own graduation card to give to some friends who are graduating this year. Totally loving being able to do so much without needing to pull out an exacto knife, and the precision and detail is amazing. I'm sure you guys will be seeing much more from me and my cutter Smiley.

From left to right and top to bottom : Ariel, Pocahontas, Cinderella, Aladdin, Jasmine, Belle, Merida, Snow White. Aren't they so cute?

P.S. I cannot for the life of me figure out who 9 and 12 are...any ideas?

3  American Flag Inspired Shorts Tutorial (first post ever)! in Stenciling: Completed Projects by dressuponacloudyday on: July 07, 2013 03:56:37 PM

Hi everyone! I initially assembled this tutorial to share on my blog, but I stumbled upon this website and thought that maybe it would be a neat thing to share here too. I hope this is the right place to put it?

Sorry for the really long picture :O

I've always thought that flag shorts are really neat, and I had initially thought about making a pair by bleaching stars and stripes onto them, but after bleaching a pair of jeans and realizing the effort and time it requires I decided to go with stenciling instead. I used freezer paper and initally was worried that it would leak underneath because denim's more textured, but it came out pretty well I think. I made them for the 4th of July, but I feel like they're going to get a lot more wear than just that one day Smiley. If you'd like more details regarding the tutorial check out this post: http://dressuponacloudyday.com/2013/07/04/american-flag-inspired-shorts-tutorial/ , and if you'd like to see more pictures of the shorts in action you can go here: http://dressuponacloudyday.com/2013/07/07/dressing-up-for-july-4th/
