Smeddley the walnut box is fun and the rainbow hoop is beautiful. Give it a little time and you'll likely find how to enjoy your free time.

Yoopidou, what a great idea for teacher

Carolmb, that's a lovely backpack. I have never attempted to make one but I'm thinking about it. How long did it take?

Kookaloo, sewing jeans is hard for my sewing machine too. I often break needles. In the end, it was worth all the hassles since you got a cool looking bag.

Less then a day about three hours total

Okay so with classes out I have far to much time on my hands LOL I had forgotten what it was like to have time to make thing!!!!!

I had this quilted fabric from way back in the spring. So I figured I would make another bag, this time a small backpack type

It was pretty easy to do I followed this tutorial:

I did not use the oilcloth, but with regular fabric it came out nice

LOL nope not keeping this one. it is going to my oldest daughter. I have plans to make a sonic screwdriver one for her partner, and a mickey mouse one for my youngest daughter (she wants big daddy or the little sister from bioshock, but no just no)

I am making something for myself this coming year I have three quilts I want to do next year (with a full class load to boot)

I also have a rainbow ribbon quilt that I created on my EQ7, but I am not sure I will get to it LOL

I like making other's smile so I create things for them. in return that makes me smile and fills my heart!

Greetings Everyone,

I had done a weeping angel block earlier in the year before my classes started. So I figured I would make a bag out of her.
It's a messenger bag I followed this tutorial
http://crazylittleprojects.com/2012/09/messenger-bag-tutorial.html

She turned out pretty good for the first time trying one.

Well and wonderment
