This is pure awesomeness!!! I love when you can make subtle "improvements" to your workplace and then just sit back and wait to see who notices first Wink.
2  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: quilt block swap. round three on: December 11, 2014 03:00:06 PM
It turned out so lovely!!
I remember laying these blocks on the floor and trying to explain to my husband how neat the overall design of the quilt would be, but this is even better then I anticipated.   Grin

Wonderful, as always!  I am so impressed by how quickly your quilts come together.  (Mine took me forever to finally finish)

7  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Garden Fence Quilt Block Swap Quilt on: December 01, 2014 08:29:05 PM

This is a queen sized quilt I put together from the blocks I received from rounds 3 and 4 of the quilt block swap. As you can see I had some beautiful blocks to work with.  My partners did a great job of coordinating color and I received a large number of fussy cut centers, which I was a wonderful surprise Cheesy.

This is by far the largest quilt I have made and it is far from perfect.  My sewing machine had too be replaced half way through the quilting process  Undecided, so it has taken a long time to put together, but it is finally done!  These pictures are kind of dark, but in real life it is s big and bright and I am very happy with it Grin

The quilt. As you can see it covers my whole bed (It was kind of dark when I took these pictures, it is a bit more vibrant in person).

I got some "extra" blocks that I incorporated into the back of the quilt. Then I decided to to add some extra fabric squares when I realized I did not quite have enough backing fabric Tongue

I was rather excited about the mix of colors on the binding and here you can see a close up of the back which had tiny squares that seemed like a good fit for the motif

And some details of the blocks:

Both are lovely.  I think the fact that you found triangles so easy is a testament to your piecing skills.  Your points are so perfect!

You look gorgeous! Especially love the bolero.  The card collar is so clever. I wish I could think of such things. Just wonderful!
