1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Quiet Book Swap on: January 25, 2016 12:52:58 PM
Would anyone be interested in a quiet book swap? I was thinking instead of making an entire book by ourselves we could each make one page (front and back) per person. Once you have all your pages you can bind them how you want or add more.

4  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Little Visitor Round 17 - Summer Vacation! on: October 10, 2013 12:26:22 PM
Violet Anne made it home safely with a box full of goodies! She had quite the trip. I also want to know about another round, I find myself reaching for AD to take his photo.

A photo album turned scrapbook, brochures and playbills from the various places they went, a new bellydancing skirt, my favorite a purple tiara, a blue drop to squeeze, a few ducks, and some odds n ends.

What a great swap!

I have received from my partner! As soon as the gallery is up I'll post. I know what I'm going to make her, I just have to get it done now!

Beautiful! I love the shades of red in her hair and the gemstones are a perfect touch. I'm sure she will love it.

Battle/Challenge: September Battle: Shakespeare vs. Dickens vs. Austen
Team:   Team Multimedia
Project Name: Shakespeare Quote Embroidery

Brief Description: I embroidered Pucks final speech from A Midsummer Nights Dream onto cotton with a floral motif underneath. I created the pattern in word and then printed it out on a sticky water soluble paper. This project had a major set back when it ended up in a cup of rose colored tea. Its a Christmas present for a friend who is a middle school Drama/English teacher.

Yay Team LovelyMiss! Will I see you on Team Multimedia in the next round? I also want a serger for Christmas...

Thanks Calabaza, that is a Dalek pincushion in there. I made it as an earlier craft along with a Psychic Notebook needlebook.

Research Project Name: Rainbow Brite and Twink Costumes
Team: Team Multimedia
Brief Description: I am going to create Rainbow Brite and Twink costumes for my daughter and I for Halloween. I will be using two actual patterns and modifying them. I will be using mainly cottons and this fluff material for the costumes. I am going to start with gathering my supplies, then I will lay out the patterns and start to figure out the modifications needed. I will be doing the Twink costume first because I have a better pattern and idea on how to do that one. I expect these to take at least 3 weeks maybe longer. They have to be finished by Halloween! If I can talk my husband into it I might be making him a costume as well.

I hope I posted this in the right place.
