1  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Re: Fake Swap Craftalong for Swap Junkies!!! 2015 on: July 27, 2015 03:35:08 PM
LOVE the wee monster one Grin.  They all looks so well made for such small things Grin

AIMR-- I am HELping!  *like a toddler helps when the grown up is one the phone...* Grin

So I received from my partner in the FAKE Set the Scene swap!  She sure took her time....but I love what she sent so I guess I'll forgiver her Grin  All the things are for my little laboratory project.  MLLP is going to be a place for me to keep and remember little bits of things...I own a surprising amount of sentimental little things...

All right, I'm going to start with my favo thing first Grin

This little cutie was made from my very first watch ring (see example of said item in the pic)  I have many fond memories of this ring...Including one of the Johns from They Might Be Giants commenting on it at a concert/signing..still makes me all giggly Grin

This is The Big Book O Stuff, where I can write down things about MLLP

I used computer paper, then stained it with coffee.  I used the coptic stitch to sew it, so it lies flat for easy of writing.

Then there are a few more specimen jars filled...

COSMOtic Particals, LUNAtic Fringe, and a Star JAR.

This is the wee me's new laboratory table.....easy clean surface Grin

A cute little tile table with an ugly secret...or maybe not too secret Grin

EEWWW!  What is that thing?!?...oh  yeah...It's my depression Grin  I figured an end table was the perfect place to keep such a thing Grin

And then I sent me..or she sent me...someone sent the other one this cute and sturdy book shelf for the specimen jars.  We included a few of the collection that will be displayed eventually.

So that's at least 5 things...and I may need to fake join again.  It's wonderful motivation and all of the me's are having so much fun goofing around with the MLLP Grin

WOW!  I'm impressed Patraw...YOU managed to creep Ludi out!  She's kind of a creep queen Grin

Genius, I says!  GENIUS!  craftster should steal your blister card cork horse idea and sell it!

The Nebiros is creepy and scary...which I love.  I think the bleeding works in this case.

The The Sleeping Whompus Isn't Sleeping is even scarier.  I had this whole little movie in my head when I saw it.  It involved Lady GaGa and her meat dress...I'll not go into details, but we will just say it made the card even grosser for me Grin

And yes...women are puzzling.  But so are guys Grin

The bean bag chair is very fun to play with.  It fits well in my hand and it has a nice weight.  It's nice to know about the washing too Grin

Yes...I'm not a hoarder.  That is ALL collection Grin

That would be amazing if it was full size!  I'm having trouble imagining the real sizes in fact..You mess with my head! Grin

and I just finished your blog and my head fell completely off and has been kicked under the couch...Grin

Thanks Ludi Grin.  I'm not a holiday person, but it was fun to make tiny holiday things for some reason Grin

Thanks for reminding me Wulf.  I meant to tell that story Grin.  *cough*, I had said in the questions, that I liked googie style.  I like that word personally, but it basically means future style, or atomic style.  As an example I said "Think the Jetson's" Grin  I think it's FABO Grin

elderflower, the gazing ball is a bit bigger then a bead.  It's one of those bobble type earnings from the 60's.  I had a really nice one I was working with, but dropped on the floor one too many times.  SO this one is a white one I covered with sparkle paint Grin  The sticks are sycamore...and yes...I have a collection of sticks.. Grin

aannndddd, since I'm posting anyway, I'll post the stuff I sent to my other partner, who hasn't posted pics yet

Kind of like the stuff I sent kbrison LOL.  A few differences though...I made a wire whisk for her, and a little gazing ball for her fairy garden, and a little raised tray.  The extras are a bit different too.  The broach is broken, but I thought the frame could be used.  The little oval was a scarf clip, but I thought it would make a nice serving tray.

Anyway...I hope she liked it all Grin

My turn!

I received from kbrison and today got the pics done, so here we go Grin

This is the whole package.  All in all she sent me a bean bag, furry pillow, fuzzy blanket, tiny bottles of death, a tool set, a photo of the Jetson's, a slab of rock (to maybe make a table of use as a window.  It's a nice piece of rock Grin), and some stickers.

She made me two poison bottles, because mad scientists all need at least two bottles of death Grin  And she sent me two empty ones for me to fill with stuff.  One will be glow in the dark radiation for sure Grin

Check out the cool tool set!  Many of the things are hinged and actually move Grin

Here's Zoey enjoying relaxing on the bean bag and fuzzy pillow.  And Tiny Me was able to get out of the lab long enough to show off her new lab coat Grin.  The coat was in the sticker set.  I was surprised to see it was wearable!

I love the bean bag, though I failed to get a good pic of it.  kbrison said she had made it already when I was going on and on in forum about the bean bag chairs in general Grin

Thanks so much for all the tiny goodness Grin

The thing with you is, there is just so much emoting happening.  You make lovely, sweet, off, odder, critters all the time.  But they all have this little quirky something about them...I can see you in the thumbnails Grin
