Thanks Pat Grin I'm old enough to have played it, but I'm a late comer when it comes to Nintendo, so I never did.  I've been a computer girrrl since the Commodore 64...till someone gave me Zelda OoT.  Now I'm a Nintendoid Grin

Nicely done LimeR!  It's nice to hear a nice story about a big city contractor too....I keep hearing bad stories.  We have had mostly luck with our contractors, but my folks have not.  It's complicated.  So I am glad to hear, though it is always stressful, that you had a nice experience Grin

5  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Xena Princess Warrior Doll Hack on: December 16, 2014 10:15:41 AM
Thanks everyone Grin

Excellent job!  You did outstanding work on this customization project, especially her outfit.  All she needs is a Gabrielle companinon . . .

How tall was the base doll?  She looks like a MGA Yummi-Land Girl to me (they were done in the 5" and 12" scales if memory serves).  Those figures were scented, like Strawberry Shortcake toys, and came packaged in cool soda-pop-shaped containers (think doll in a bottle instead of ship in a bottle).

Well!  That helps to explain the very potent vanilla smell she had.  I just figured it was the smell of vinyl breaking down Grin.  I looked through some pics and I do think you are right...though it was not the Mint girl who started out with the Xena like hair cut.  She is definitely the 12 inch size.  I even have a vague memory of there being a MGA raised print on the back...not sure why it never occurred to me to search that LOL.  Thanks Patraw Grin

Awesome! Shocked  She is just so cute and yet I can still believe she'd kick other dolls' butts! Cheesy
As far as who she was, I think she was the one in the pink boots

That's pretty close...thogh her eyes are blue already...probably one of those lines that uses all the parts to make as many different kinds of dolls as they can Grin

Thanks Ludi Grin.  It's interesting trying to figure out what parts to leave in and what parts to leave out...not to mention her armor and weapons change through out the seasons.  This is first season based..
