Super adorable! I love these!

Thanks!

They are very adorable!

I must admit that the food colouring freaks me out a little... Not that we have any allergens, but even though..  Undecided But that is just me! Nothing to do with your muffins!!
And I so use food colouring now and then, but just a hint. Haha, I'm weird, I know  Tongue

Anyway, it's great that you made Earth Day muffins for school!  Cheesy Good work!!  Smiley

Thanks!

And not weird at all!  Just a different view on it that's totally okay!  I'm in the "all in moderation" school of thought on it.  I'm totally okay if he has one muffin, every couple of months, from a batch that had a few drops of coloring in it.  We eat real food otherwise.
4  COOKING / Dessert / Earth Day Muffins with Free Printable Toppers on: April 22, 2014 08:11:54 AM
It's Snack & Share Day at baby.sweets4ever's school today and here's what we whipped up for the occasion!  They're super simple and a fun nod to Earth Day.

Supplies
Muffin mix
Food coloring
Cupcake liners
Toothpick

Toppers:
Cardstock
Printer
Scissors
Toothpicks
Washi tape

Steps

Mix your batter per package instructions.  I use a box muffin mix for his school muffins.  It's free of common allergens, really yummy and has a hint of vanilla.  Perfect for the kiddos.

Separate the batter into two bowls.  Add blue food coloring to one bowl and green to the other.  Mix thoroughly.

Sporadically layer the two colors into your cupcake liners.  I use an ice cream scoop for one and a Ziploc bag, with the corner snipped, for the other.  The bag allows me to direct the color easily.

Once all of your liners are nearly full, use a toothpick to swirl the color around on the top of each muffin.  This creates the swirls of land and water on top of the muffins.

Bake 'em!

While your muffins are baking, create your toppers.  On a piece of white 8x11.5" cardstock, print these free toppers I created for you.  Click the link or image below for the full-size print.  Save and print it.  They are also attached at the bottom of this post. Smiley

You can use a 2" punch to remove them or just snip them out with scissors. Smiley

Use a small piece of washi or clear tape to attach your snazzy toppers to toothpicks.

World muffffins!

Stab them with the toppers. Smiley

Enjoy!

I made something that I had on my Pinterest for quite some time! It is a tutorial, but I didn't follow that (of course  Roll Eyes ) because I'm just too lazy to carefully read it all.. Haha!

Now I must not forget to post it on time  Tongue

I think it is cute  Cheesy (hard to not share it with you already!!)

Ahhhh, I can't wait to see!

There are so so so many things I have pinned that I want to make.  It is hard to narrow it down.  But I think I have one that I really want to make... maybe two or three...

But I take it we can only enter one item for the challenge?

Yep, just one unless it's a set of something that goes together.
7  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Easter / Re: Magic Beans on: April 20, 2014 12:58:33 PM
Such a sweet child memory you have created. He will do this with his children, too. Smiley

Aw, I hope so.  He really looks forward to it each year.

I love this idea!  Might have to do it next year for my kiddos, even though they are probably too old for such stuff.  Smiley

Aw, I bet they'd have fun with it, even if they are older!

How sweet! He is so cute! I love this idea!

Thanks for sharing!  Cheesy

You're welcome and thank you!
