Thank you so much, ladies! Cheesy
2  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Crocheted star blanket! on: May 23, 2015 07:00:55 AM

I love this pattern!  It's a star shaped crocheted blanket in colors of:  crme, chocolate brown, and maize gold.  I enjoy making this blanket every time.  Grin
3  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Mushroom jar! on: May 21, 2015 03:26:44 PM

I don't know, mushrooms both creep me out and fascinate me!  I am more drawn to 'fairy type' mushrooms, and this is what this item is modeled after.

It's a glass jar with a brownish colored yarn crocheted cozy around it, with the lid painted and then covered with clear nail polish so the paint won't chip off.

I thought it was a pretty clever idea...I've never seen one that had the crocheted cozy "stem".

What do you think?
4  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Scrappy Happy Swap -GALLERY on: May 20, 2015 01:30:47 PM
I received from the talented texscrapper today!  I KNEW I was going to LOVE whatever she made me, b/c she is such a talented sewist!  Here's the photos of the greatness I received:

This is the outside of the HUGE messenger bag she made me!

This is with the top flap open...see the pocket?

This is what texscrapper called a 'hobo' bag and it's reversible (and has LADYBUGS on it!  Grin)!\

And last but not least...a cute little coin purse!

THANK YOU SO MUCH!  I LOVE EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
5  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Patriotic Fabric Strips Wreath! on: May 19, 2015 05:09:19 PM

This is a small patriotic wreath I made!  I used the lid of a Haagen Dacz container (took out the middle), cut red/white/blue star fabric into strips and tied them around the lid.  Lastly, I tied a silver ribbon on it for hanging!
6  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Lime Green Summer Scarf! on: May 19, 2015 02:41:24 PM
Awwww, thanks!
7  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Lime Green Summer Scarf! on: May 18, 2015 05:03:49 PM

This is a lime green summer scarf made using the shell stitch in crochet.  I used yarn given to me from smileyogini in the MYB swap (the lime green yarn) and the variegated yarn was $1 from one of the bins at a craft store.

I picture it as being the perfect accessory with a beautiful summer dress on a cool summer night at a party!  Cheesy

CMB, I understand, I understand.  I'm glad everything worked out well in the end.

I have kbrison's items finished and packaged up and ready to go.

I have texscrapper's items finished and wrapped, but I have to purchase a box.

They will be mailed out either today or tomorrow.
