1  Re: Mini 13 Days of Halloween Gallery in The Swap Gallery by themuppet on: September 05, 2013 07:37:30 AM
My fabulously fantastic QueenNinjaMonkey awesomeness:

Day 1/13/whatever:  WOO CANDY CORN

Seriously.. I love candy corn enough that it is probably considered illegal in several southern states.  And Starburst candy corn is the best!  Woo!  Terraria and candy corn has been my agenda all evening.. lol

Day 2:  WOO ZOMBIES!!

These completely adorable pillows with painted zombie silhouettes on the front and cool skull fabric on the back.  So so awesome!

Day 3!!

Wee felt ornaments!  SO so so cute.  They make me ridiculously happy.  Also, candy corn duct tape! <3

Day 4!!

This poor adorable candy corn zombie hoop.  I think it's needle punched?  It's thick and awesome and bumpy.

It looks fantastic on my "favorites" wall, too! Cheesy

Day 5!!

More zombie felties!  Squeeeee!!  And a Zombie Apocalypse book that my 16-year-old shockingly stole.  Double bonus!

I bought this glittery halloween tree last year to use in my craft booth, but my ornament production outgrew it pretty quick, so it's been sitting on top of a shelf looking fancy but bare.  Bare no longer!

Day 6!

This day proves that Madame Ninja Monkey is a psychic.   First, socks!  I love weird socks, and my candy corn socks are tied for favorites with the eyeball socks and the striped socks.  But now candy corn striped socks?  winner!

The coasters are awesome with foam skeleton feet, but, most importantly, they have Chris Mars paintings on them, and he is one of my favorite artists of all time.

The kicker: I didn't tell her I loved both of these things, so she must be psychic!!

Day 7!!

Holy crap it's a soap skeleton!  I didnt even know this skeleton mold existed.  I am so excited to be washing my hands with a bony foot. Cheesy

Day 8!

A pile of fun stuff!  An adorable candy corn (wheee!), a light up lantern, and some monster pills that I might be nice and share with my kids. Wink

Day 9!

OMG MORE FELTIES.  I don't know how I lived my life without these things in it, for real.  I have looked at my little zombie tree 197591875 times over the last week.  SO FREAKIN CUTE.

Day 10!

and even more!!!  I don't want to ramble on like a maniac any more than I already have, so suffice to say they are fantastic.  Love love love.  Plus another zombie book!

Day 11!!

This cool spidery book box!  I have always wanted a book box, and I always need storage, so even more awesome.

Inside I found magnets and cool vintage postcards!

I can't believe there are only two days left! Ack!

Day 12!

This super awesome skully shirt!  I am so excited about this thing!

day 13!  waHHHH

This beautiful Halloween shrine.  I have hung it already in a place of honor - I absolutely adore it.

Thank you so much for everything, QNM!!  You were the best partner ever.

2  Steampunky Custom Munny in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by themuppet on: July 04, 2013 09:36:19 AM
Hi!

I am in a Munny swap on another site and made this whackadoo cycloptic steampunky robotty munny for my partner:

A Munny is a blank vinyl doll that you can customize with paint, markers, etc. (there are SO MANY cool ones if you search for munny on google images).  I made this one with polymer clay, quartz crystals, a glass eye that I made using a glass cabochon and a printable eye collage sheet, copper wire, screws, and acrylic paint.

Thanks for lookin! Cheesy

4  Re: Up to Three Tiny Adventure Time Things Swap in The Swap Gallery by themuppet on: April 03, 2013 10:21:46 AM
OMG Meg, I'm sorry.. I'm dumb.  I posted pictures, but in the wrong thread!  WHOOPS!

So here it is again in the RIGHT thread:

I received a pile of LSPs!

From Megstar, this adorable hoop with two different speech bubbles.  I am super impressed!  SO CUTE!

And then from Lanikins, this super cute stuffed LSP - the picture doesn't do it justice at all - the texture is almost towel-like and awesome!

This was the BEST SWAP EVER.

6  Zombie Bunny Slippers in Crochet: Completed Projects by themuppet on: January 23, 2013 03:06:35 PM
Omg these freakin' things.

I have made enough of these things to kill someone.  If you unraveled them and force-fed someone the yarn using a chopstick and a funnel, that is.  Not that I've put any thought into this or anything!

I've made them plain-ish:

I've made them leaking brains:

I've made them extra bloody and eyeball-dangly:

and I've made them dressed like Cthulhu.

I don't want to make them ever again.  Ever.

.... I've said that before.

Thanks for lookin!

7  Re: More Art, Less Craft 6x6 canvas swap Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by themuppet on: October 08, 2012 09:51:01 AM
Lol thank you!

Here is alteredmommy's amazing piece.  The textures are incredible, and I love the color!

My pictures don't really do it justice, but it truly is a mixed media masterpiece.

I didn't even realize how much I dig the mustard yellow... then I hung it and realized there is mustard all over my wall. Lol!

Thank you, alteredmommy, for hosting this awesome swap and for letting me be your partner!

8  Vintage-inspired skullbunny in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by themuppet on: June 16, 2012 11:02:53 AM
I have been making what I've termed "sugar skull pals" for a while now out of felt, mostly bunnies, even some with two heads.  The other day I was inspired to make one out of muslin with a sculpted eyeball cameo on his belly.  He's hand-sewn, painted with acrylics, beaded, and then thoroughly grimified.

He makes me sort of ridiculously happy.

Thanks for lookin!

9  The Literate Red Monster in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by themuppet on: March 07, 2012 11:26:34 AM

Yay another monster!  Same as before, face was hand-drawn/painted and then he was hand- and machine-sewn together out of fake fur, muslin, broadcloth and felt.

Turn Ons:   Shakespeare, stories about Armageddon, words with five syllables, memebase.com.

Turn Offs:  Iambic Pentameter, pickle breath, snails, things that like to chew on monsters.

Vital Statistics:  16 inches long, 12 inches wide at the horns, 19 inch arm-span

Thanks for looking! <3

10  Loveydovey Monster in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by themuppet on: February 23, 2012 05:05:58 PM
This is my first post in this forum!  *waves*  Since I just ordered 75 billion pounds of fake fur, I'm sure it won't be the last though!

This is my loveydovey monster:

I drew/painted his face with Prismacolor pencils and a bit of white acrylic on muslin then sealed it... The body/arms/feet are faux fur, horns and heart are felt, legs are stripey canvas.

Here's a pensive daydreaming pose:

Teehee!
I've been dreaming about these monsters for a year, so I'm crazy excited about him.

Thanks for looking!
