1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Re: Peacock of many stitches on: August 11, 2013 04:07:33 AM
Mary Corbett's Needle n' Thread is a good site. If you scroll down on the page for the link below there is an "Individual Stitches and Techiniques" section that might be helpful.

2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Ring Bearer Pillow on: August 07, 2013 04:29:16 PM
What Craftster means to me is.... inspiration! There are so many amazing crafters here, I am always inspired to try something new.

My future sister in law is getting married this October.  In our conversations recently about what she still needed for the wedding she mentioned the ring bearer pillow.  I offered to make her a pillow, why spend a fortune when you can make it yourself Smiley. I am super happy with how it turned out, I can't wait to give it to the bride!

5  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Baby Blanket on: August 12, 2012 02:47:04 PM
I am not sure if this is in the right place so I apologize if not.

A friend at work was having his first child so I made this blanket for him and his wife and their daughter Sophie.  The front is soft flannel and is backed with minky dots in pale yellow.

6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Gathered Clutch on: August 12, 2012 02:43:26 PM
Made my sister this gathered clutch as a surprise, she loved it!  I used the Noodlehead tutorial, it was so easy to follow.

7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / My first skirt on: August 12, 2012 02:38:58 PM
I had a bridal shower to attend but could not find anything that I liked at the mall so I decided to just make myself a skirt.  This is the first skirt I have made, I drafted the pattern myself using various tutorials online for reference.  I also added lining as the fabric on it's own was a little see through.  when I make another one I will use smaller elastic for the waistband, I am a little unhappy about the width. The cami and cardigan are from NY&Co and is what I wore with it.

8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Tote Bag on: July 07, 2012 05:11:27 PM
Finally got around to making the tote bag that I bought material for 2 years ago.  I used the same pattern that I drafted for the tote posted here - http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=410964.0.  It has both a pocket on both the outside and inside.

I made this tote bag for my sister for her birthday. I am very pleased with how it turned out and she loved it! Smiley

I drafted the pattern myself, it took only 4 hours total to make, which for me is not bad, lol.  JoAnne Fabric was having a killer sale so this cost me next to nothing to make.  I bought everything I needed to make this plus some other stuff for less than the regular cost of 1 yard of the outer fabric, score!
