1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: IYP 27 Crafty Quickstep Gallery! on: December 20, 2014 02:18:57 PM
kwality's monsters are so adorable. They are all such characters - bright and blissful!!

cackle is the master of bottle brush trees!! I sent my partner some trees inspired by hers Smiley.

Bunting!! So cute and happy, wendiek!! What a sweet package you sent. Love that reindeer ornament too.

And now I get to share the wonderful package I received from PerfectlyBohemian!!

I've been in desperate need of a thread catcher for years and now I finally have one!! I love the birch fabric and theme of this! I'm going to get so much use out of it.

This is the first version PB made and she thought she messed it up. I'm so glad she sent it anyway because I adore it and can't find a single thing wrong with it!! I'll be able to use it as a fabric storage basket. And would you believe, she carved that deer stamp?!?! So amazing!

Look at these stamps!! So detailed and perfect! I plan to print some fabric with these and some wrapping paper for xmas.

And what swap package would be complete without a wiener dog?!!! Look at this cute little guy!

Here he is with some new friends Smiley.

Thank you for everything, PerfectlyBohemian!! I had so much fun swapping with you and getting to know you better.

That is amazing!!! So so so adorable. Tell your mom she better protect her hands for the next month!! No chipping!

Did you use nail polish or other paints?

Thank you! Originally, we were going to do shutters instead of windows - more of a porch than a room. I'm glad that we changed our mind because the space really wouldn't have been usable in the winter time. It's been nice having cozy nights in front of the fireplace!

Thanks, all!! We have really been enjoying the room. When we were in the midst of construction and there was dust everywhere and guys roaming through the house and constant noise, I just kept thinking about sitting in the room on a Sunday morning, sipping my coffee and reading a magazine - it was my happy place in the chaos. And now I can really do it!!

Since this picture, we have added window coverings so our neighbors don't get as much of a show Wink.

PB! I wish I had known about your sunroom design work before - I would have been hitting you up for constant advice!!

Did anyone watch the reality competition show Nail'd It?

I'll confess to getting hooked on it Smiley.
6  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Our Spiraling Home Project - From Deck to Addition on: December 18, 2014 07:12:43 PM
A little over a year ago, the hubby and I started a project to put a covered deck onto the back of our home. Like so many projects, it spiraled a bit out of control. What started as a deck turned into a full blown home addition. The process was stressful and exhausting at times but as we've FINALLY been able to enjoy the space, we know it was all worth it! We love our new deck Smiley.

Other than the decision making, I can't take any credit for this work. We had a great contractor that did all of the hard parts. If we had attempted to participate in any of the construction work, this project wouldn't have made it past the whole-in-the-ground phase Smiley.

Deciding the paint colors (particularly what to do with my favorite part of the room, the ceiling) was so hard!! We actually ended up painting it a different color to begin with and redoing the whole thing Smiley.

And here are some of the before and in-progress pictures! Gosh, I almost forgot what a mess this was!! Cheesy

7  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: Maaaaagic Yarn (Not really.. It's just beautiful, though) on: December 18, 2014 06:54:36 PM
I think I might just frame it and stare at it and never actually knit with it Smiley. Really pretty!!!
8  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / Talk About The Swap Process / Re: I'd like my feedback on: December 18, 2014 06:50:02 PM
When I organize, I prefer to do feedback in groups so usually I'll do a chunk or two a week. That said, if someone PMs needing feedback sooner, I never mind doing a one-off!!
