Hi guys!!! I'm very excited today since I finally get out off bed and dragged myself to the fabric store.. So I managed to make a studded kimono cardigan, and it took like around 3 hours from figuring out the pattern until putting in the studs..
And I have a tutorial for you guys!!!
A kimono cardigan structure is very easy to understand where I already transelate it into the simplest diagram below;
ww= wrist to wrist
nb = neck to bottom (length)
SO, here's the measurements I used for this project.. You guys can use your own measurements but if your are lazy enough, feel free to use mine (fits from XS-L)
For the pattern, only the back part that has to be cut on fold..The front part just cut one for each sides.
I've used a single pattern for the from and back part of the kimono.. The triangle labelled as ''a'' only to be cut when you are doing the front part..
p/s: squiggly part is the seam allowance
Here I show you guys what the fabric should look like after cutting with the pattern..
The picture above shows some colored lines that I will explain next;
1) Green lines = before sewing the pieces together, do finishing stitches along the green lines.
2) Red lines = sew them together first, once you're done sew the (previously green) lines together.
3) Blue line = do finishing seam stitches along the line.
AAANNDDD YOU'RE DONE!!!
If you find this tutorial is a bit complicated, feel free to leave some questions for me..
Thanks for reading and have a nice day guys
