Everyone's projects are looking fantastic! There are too many wonderful projects to comment on.

Warning- Massive quidditch update

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Quidditch- Seeker
House: Slytherin
Project Name:Cheery happy flowerpots
Project Page Link (if available): :
Brief Description: (how it fits the requirements, pattern/techniques/recipe used, any fun tips, etc.) I've had these flowerpots for ages, and everytime I plant something in them they die  Cry So I thought maybe giving them a facelift and painting them golden with happy colors underneath would help inspire the plants to live!
Project Picture:

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Quidditch- chaser
House: Slytherin
Project Name:cooking stamp trio
Project Page Link (if available): :
Brief Description: (how it fits the requirements, pattern/techniques/recipe used, any fun tips, etc.) I've been wanting some new stamps related to cooking but didn't fine anything I liked so I made this trio. A whisk, a rolling pin and a Yum stamp
Project Picture:

Class/Challenge/House Pride: quidditch- broomstick
House: Slytherin
Project Name:
Project Page Link (if available): :running pocket
Brief Description: (how it fits the requirements, pattern/techniques/recipe used, any fun tips, etc.) Running is my preferred means of travel, I love it and while I have a running belt for my phone I don't really like putting my keys with my phone for fear of scratching it. Not all of my running bottoms have zip pockets, so I made this shoe pocket to carry my keys, and possibly  even some extra cash and an ID.
Project Picture:

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Quidditch- cobbing
House: Slytherin
Project Name: Friendship bracelet of many points
Project Page Link (if available): :
Brief Description: (how it fits the requirements, pattern/techniques/recipe used, any fun tips, etc.) I cut too many strings when I mad my first bracelet to decided to put them to good use and found this pattern that contained many many points
Project Picture:

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Quidditch- Haversacking
House: slytherin
Project Name: Infinity dress
Project Page Link (if available): :
Brief Description: (how it fits the requirements, pattern/techniques/recipe used, any fun tips, etc.) I started this dress ages ago, like at least two years. Then I got the part that involved hemming the long straps and adjusting the elastic and gave up. Finally I removed it from craft exile and put the finishing touches on it.... so much hemming!  I doubt I'll ever wear this without a tanktop underneath, (so much skin exposed) but it's still cute
Project Picture:

Class/Challenge/House Pride: quidditch- Quaffle pocking
House: slytherin
Project Name: holy dishcloth
Project Page Link (if available): :
Brief Description: (how it fits the requirements, pattern/techniques/recipe used, any fun tips, etc.) I've got some scrap yarn I needed to use up so I turned it into this dishcloth. I started out following a pattern but got bored half way though and just made up the rest.
Project Picture:

And In honor of Advanced studies Friday here is my owl progress

I've got the blue quilt top all sewn together, just have to put on the border and back, and I've got all of the squares for the green one assembled, so that one I"ll start putting together tonight.

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Quidditch Events- beater
House: slytherin
Project Name: reindeer  ornament
Project Page Link (if available): :
Brief Description: I got this ornament on supersale after last christmas and decided to finally paint and seal it, the little details were kind of a pain and I painted over some of the lines so decided to outline the whole thing with sharpie. oh and despite painting the brown with 3 different coats it just refused to be even... grr.
Project Picture:

House: Slytherin
Project Name: Doggy ornaments
Project Page Link (if available): :
Brief Description: (how it fits the requirements, pattern/techniques/recipe used, any fun tips, etc.) These two wooden ornaments were also the product of a post christmas sale. I was orginally going to paint the dog to look like my own then realized it would just be a big black blob. These will make a great addition to the christmas feel of my home this year
Project Picture:

b]Class/Challenge/House Pride:[/b] Quidditch events- cheering/ spirit
House: Slytherin
Project Name: house spirit bracelet
Project Page Link (if available): :
Brief Description: (how it fits the requirements, pattern/techniques/recipe used, any fun tips, etc.) I finally lost my last friendship bracelet so it was time to make a new one and what better colors than my house colors to cheer on the mighty power that is the slytherin quidditch team!
Project Picture:

And since it's advanced studies Friday here is my owl progress, It doesn't look like much from last week but now the rows are actually sewn together, and I've finally come up with a good system of pinned as I go.

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Quidditch penalty- stooging
House: Slytherin
Project Name: Fresh picked blackberry ice cream
Project Page Link (if available): :
Brief Description:  My husband has been bugging me for ice cream so I told him if he provided the flavor I'd make it. Well he found a blackberry bush near our house raided it and demanded ice cream. Ice cream is super easy for me to make I can practically do it in my sleep the hardest part is waiting for it to cool so that I can churn it up.
Project Picture:

~*COMPLETED NEWT HEADER*~
NEWT Subject: SoAR
House: Slytherin
Project Name: Christmas cross stitch
Project Page Link (if available):
Brief Description: yay I've finally finished the picture it took a while to decipher all the symbols for color and along the way I discovered some of the symbols on the chart didn't match up with the full color picture so that made things interesting trying to figure out what color I should be stitching with.  Now I just need to figure out what it is I'm going to turn this picture into, I've thought about a pillow or a wall hanging but I"m just not sure. Any suggestions?

This semester has just been slipping by! we're already in the last month!

I've been busy chipping away at my advanced studies project and trying to keep my most recent, and very unexpected houseguest entertained. (he's seriously infringing on my crafting time  Wink )

I did get a chance to whip up these cookies yesterday for The latest bean challenge.

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Bertie botts bean- watermelon
House: Slytherin
Project Name: Neapolitan cookies
Project Page Link (if available): :http://cookiesandcups.com/neapolitan-cookie-sandwiches/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+cookiesandcups+%28cookies+and+cups%29
Brief Description: (how it fits the requirements, pattern/techniques/recipe used, any fun tips, etc.) These cookies called my name when I saw them! and since they have pink for the strawberry cookie and white for the frosting they kind of remind me of a watermelon, that is if you dipped a watermelon in chocolate Smiley I followed the recipe pretty closely, except I don't use strawberry or chocolate syrup, so I used 2 tbsp of powdered stawberry jello for the pink cookies and cocoa powder for the chocolate. I also followed my own recipe for swiss meringue buttercream  because I just can't bring myself to make basic buttercream anymore. Using powder Jello as a flavoring was a total experiment and it went REALLY well so now I've got a whole slew of other ideas involving using it as flavoring.

Project Picture:

And since it's advanced studies friday here is my progress!

Newt- I'm done with the cross stitching and I'm now working on all the back stitching

Owl-I've got all the little puffs for the blue quilt all sewn so now it's a matter of sewing them together. This is when I discovered turns out my sewing machine doesn't like sewing to puffy pillows together, so now I'm having to sew all the squares together by hand so it may be a little more slow going than I anticipate. ah well I've got until October.... hopefully

Now off to plan some quidditch products.

 @ teag- that's a great watermelon cane!
@ patty-o- on man that sauce looks delicious
@ naantje-oh yummy looking curry and a great use of things about to go bad
@ technicolorAquahearts- cute drawing, that looks how I feel in the morning before coffee
@ jenleahlynn- nice ti-dye shirt, and I can really see the likeness to fire.

Class/Challenge/House Pride: July Quidditch
House: Slytherin
Project Name: cowchain portkey
Project Page Link (if available): :
Brief Description: (how it fits the requirements, pattern/techniques/recipe used, any fun tips, etc.) I discovered a kit for this cow keychain that I'd never started let alone completed and  decided it would make the perfect port key, then I next thing I know it was in the garden hidden among the pea plants.

Hello all
I've been super uninspired crafting wise lately so mostly just chugging away on my newt and  lurking at all the wonderful projects that have been posted. But a great sale at the grocery store gave me some motivation to complete my Herbology homework

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Herbology
House: Slytherin
Project Name: Cherry sorbet
Project Page Link (if available): :
Brief Description: (how it fits the requirements, pattern/techniques/recipe used, any fun tips, etc.) It's been hot and I love ice cream but never seem to have whole milk on hand, and once made the disastrous mistake of using 2% milk (never again!) and it was bad. So what's a girl to do when it's hot you want ice cream and there's no milk? Make sorbet!
Project Picture:

This stuff is crazy easy to make if you have an ice cream maker (maybe even if you don't but I can't vouch for that)

Cherry sorbet Recipe
2lbs cherries
1 cup water
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp lemon juice

Pit and slice cherries, combine with other ingredients in a pot
Bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer and cook until the cherries are soft and mushy about 15 minutes
Next let the liquid cool and puree it in a blender or with an immersion blender.
Place in the fridge to chill throughly then freeze according to your ice cream makers directions.
Since my maker tends to make soft serve I always put it in another container to freeze overnight so it's nice and hard.
eat and enjoy! makes about 1 quart.

and since I've found some crafting inspiration I'm going to propose an owl

~*OWL PROPOSAL HEADER*~
OWL Subject & Option(if available): Arithmancy
House: Slytherin
Project Name: Baby boy biscuit quilts
Brief Description: (how it fits the requirements, pattern/techniques used, materials using, plan of action, expected timeline, etc.) I've had a picture of a biscuit/ puff quilt pinned for ages and now have the perfect opportunity to use the design! A friend is having identical twin boys in october so I propose for my owl to create two of these puff quilts each using 7 different fabrics. It will probably take me a week to plan and cut quilt squares, two weeks to assemble the squares and then a week to put it all together and bind them.

@ Dragonchilde- ooh such a cool necklace
@ CraftyLadyMJ- That turtle charm is adorable
@ noodle-bug- I love the wind chime and the mug rug
@ abbeeroad- thats some impressive wire wrapping, the little yogi is cute, and I love the multi colored yard
@Jennieingram- love the glass fruit and veggie beads and that's some impressive stamp carving.
@ augustbell- love the giant dumbledore
@audania1- that fruit salad looks good yum, thanks for the recipe
@ pottermouth- Love your muggle studies hoop, silly muggles and their idea of mermaids
@ pinkleo- wow beautiful blanket I love the colors
@ ntrebleagain- Those dessert stands are great? what kind of glue did you use? last time I tried to do something like that well... it resulted in lots of duck tape

Yesterday I had some downtime and was able to whip up my transfiguration homework.

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Transfiguration
House: Slytherin
Project Name: Welsh green bookmark
Project Page Link (if available): :
Brief Description: (how it fits the requirements, pattern/techniques/recipe used, any fun tips, etc.) I had so much fun making my last bookmark that I decided to make another. This time I used the welsh green dragon as inspiration and made scales out of felt and beads.

@Audania1- those are some great hoops I especially like the last one with the lace on it.

@Erin Aquaheart- ooh fire scale candy that looks tasty

@jennieingram- I'm always in love with your charm bracelets and that fairy tale one is awesome.

@pinkleo- I'll have to try that pasta salad, it looks awesome.

@teag- that's such a cool way to alter a paintbrush

@netchez- that's an awesome watermelon carving

@midkiffsjoy- such cool shirts, I love the spelling of things using elements from the periodic table.

Class/Challenge/House Pride: June detention with Snape
House: Slytherin
Project Name: Curtain of 3 years
Project Page Link (if available): :
Brief Description: (how it fits the requirements, pattern/techniques/recipe used, any fun tips, etc.) I made curtains for my house when we moved in three years ago, except for this one little window on the side of the house that I was uninspired by. Well i figured it was time to buckle down and finally make it looked finished So I whipped this valance up today. It's nothing fancy but I feel like it really finishes off the window and the room.

@lelyonna- wow look at all that knitted goodness, those little baby booties are adorable

@teag- very cool firecracker

@Technicolor- Those pizzas look tasty, Yum

I have two projects to turn in today

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Charms
House: Slytherin
Project Name: Jalapno bacon poppers
Project Page Link (if available): :
Brief Description: (how it fits the requirements, pattern/techniques/recipe used, any fun tips, etc.) These are an appetizer I have been avoiding making mainly do to the carving, but thanks to my practice I was able to successfully perform the Defodio spell to slice and carve out the insides of 10 Jalapeno peppers without having to deal with the sometimes nasty side effects of working with peppers, mainly burned hands.

Project Picture:

Class/Challenge/House Pride: History of Magic
House: Slytherin
Project Name: Strawberry shortcake cookie
Project Page Link (if available): :
Brief Description: (how it fits the requirements, pattern/techniques/recipe used, any fun tips, etc.) There is little that is more summery to me than fresh strawberries, and this dessert is one that my mom would make every year around 4th of July so I continued the tradition with my friends and family this year. It's basically just your favorite sugar cookie recipe, then a layer of strawberries, and a whipped cream pudding mixture and repeat.

Whew I never realize how much goes on at Hogwarts until I step away for a little bit. I went to San Diego with my husband for work and came back to about a million awesome projects.

Sadly it means my crafting time/ supplies were limited but I do have one project to post and can't wait to get back into more, In fact I've got one planned for today.

So I got a chance to finish up my Owl!

~*COMPLETED OWL HEADER*~
OWL Subject & Option (if available): Potions Option 1
House: Slytherin
Project Name: Multi textured shawl
Project Page Link (if available):http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=425175.0#axzz2Y5tldrpC
Brief Description: (how it fits the requirements, pattern/techniques used, any fun tips, etc.)This shawl consisted of 3 different textures well 5 if you count the seed stitch and the breaks between the main textures. Each pattern repeats three times expect for the first which repeats four times. The variety of patterns really helped to keep me interested and to keep going. I messed up a couple of times and didn't notice but thankfully the pattern is forgiving and you can't really tell. Overall I enjoyed knitting it and I'm looking forward to when it's cool enough to get a chance to use it.
