I was having a thought and wondered if anyone else might be interested.

I know we have monthly/bi-monthly challenges.  I was wondering if there were any way to have a long-term challenge.  So many of my projects are very long term right now (a sweater, a couple of afghans, stuff like that).  I just thought that a challenge for large long-term projects could be kind of cool.  Thoughts anyone?

I finally finished something!  whoo hoo!  I finished the purple and white baby blanket that a co-worker commissioned from me!  Smiley  yay!  I'll get pictures posted tomorrow.

Such pretty yarn ladies!  I'm still working on my yarn.  I want to finish this one before I start anything else.  And I only have one good drop spindle anyway.  Someday I'll have a spinning wheel!

I love all three of them.  Fantastic spinning! I would name the last one Macaw.  Its bright blue and yellow makes me think of tropical birds.

I'm soooooo very far behind.  Instead of spending my snow-cation on Craftster, I spent it actually crafting.  And I have no finished projects to show for it!  I have 5 long-term projects going right now and I don't have all the materials I need to finish Z's hat.  I have to go buy polar fleece and plastic canvas tomorrow so I can finish the hat.  Smiley

dreadlocklove - great spinning!  I worked on spinning some while I was on snow-cation but I have to make another single so I can ply it!
9  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / Finishing and plying? on: February 14, 2014 09:08:38 AM
So - I finally got back into my spinning (I will be able to do this!)  and I'm wondering if I should set the twist in my yarn before I ply it.

Right now I think I'm just experimenting so if something good comes out of this, great, if not, steep learning curve here.  Wink
10  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / Re: First spin - have some questions. on: February 13, 2014 06:55:52 PM
Thank you for making this post!  This has helped me!  I picked up my spinning today (snow day here in NC) and I've been wondering a) how to set my twist and b) if I've over twisted it!  I'm so glad I'm not alone in stressing about my yarn!
