Here's another picture of SlickMariaVic's piece.  It shows the colors a bit better.  It was a lot of fun! I hunted and hunted for balloons instead of stars and couldn't find them anywhere!!  But I think the stars turned out really cute!  Smiley

First up!  This is generally the piece I started with.  You can see I started working and went "oh crap!  I need to take a picture!"  So the only thing in this picture that I did is what's in the elephant's trunk.  SlickMariaVic will post the finished picture!  Cheesy

What I sent SlickMariaVic was very simple.... it was just the outline of the treble clef.  That's it.  And I love what she did with it!

Here's a close up of the flower!  I love it!  Is it sari-silk or something similar that you used on the flower to make it look that way?  Its nothing I would ever have done myself and I just think its so cool!  Cheesy

Thanks for being an awesome partner!  Cheesy

I'm finally getting time to post my goodies that I've been opening!  Cheesy

Day 1 - cute mug rug along with tea and chocolate to use on it!  Cheesy

Day 2 - a variety of necklaces!  Cheesy  I wore the black and orange one that looks like the moon to work yesterday and got several compliments on it!  Thank you!

Day 3 - Cute little owl!  Not sure where she's going to go just yet.

Day 4 - Vintage Halloween pictures printed on fabric and made into Halloween ornaments!  This means I need a Halloween tree!  Cheesy  yay!

Day 5 - Three little ghosts from school are we.....  Okay - bad Gilbert and Sullivan joke.  Smiley  But, yes, 3 adorable little ghosties!  I wasn't sure what I would do with them but a few years ago MissingWillow sent me some awesome letters that spelled out BOO that are black and white.  I think I'm going to create some awesome Halloween art with these two projects!

Day 6 - Hooplas!  These are adorable!  I love them both but the witch is my favorite!

Day 7 - awesome appliqued pillow!  Cheesy

Day 8 - These.  Are.  Adorable! I love these felt pumpkins for my wall!

Day 9 - These are some super cute hot pads/pot holders!

Day 10 - Awesome bunting!  I've made this before for other people but I've never made it for myself!

Day 11 - LOOK!  FIBER-Y GOODNESS!  She sent me fiber!  And fabric bags for the fiber!  yay!  4 samples, 100% Merino, 50/50 Merino/Tencel, 50/50 Merino/Bamboo and 70/30 Merino/Sea Cell.  I can't wait to have time to spin up some of this!

Day 12 - Zippered pouch, socks and Reese's cups!  Cheesy

So....  for the last week and a half I've been putting my empty barren classroom back together so it looks like a warm, colorful and inviting musical space again.  I decided to add this to my classroom this year.  Its up on one of my higher shelves next to an old defunct tuba.  Smiley

And this is the ONLY thing I've had time to finish recently.  I need to work on some Halloweeny goodness and some Christmasy goodness!  Smiley

I got roped into making another fairy garden.  One of my friends said "hey!  you're crafty!  Let's make fairy gardens!"  So here's my most recent attempt.  Flying pig and all!  Smiley

There's some kind of ground cover (don't remember what it was other than soft and pretty) and the plant is an angel-wing begonia.  I found it at one of my local garden centers today just blooming its heart out.  I bought another angel-wing earlier this summer that's finally blooming a beautiful whiteish-pink and you can see this one booms a bright redish color.

I made these the other day and they are currently being squashed flat by the Michael's book of Arts and Crafts because the magnet wanted to curl the baked clay.

Hoping to abandon them this next week, here and there.  Just need to package them and put tags on them.  Smiley  I'm excited to leave them somewhere to be found.

My goal before school starts is to finish some things.  I have to get some things FINISHED!  I've been driving my family crazy starting projects left and right without finishing much of anything.  So...  here are two things I've finished.

These are magnets for art abandonment.  Sorry for the cruddy picture.  Anywho - I know that I find myself needing a pick-me-up reminder that I'm awesome some days.  So I thought other people might as well.  I just need to package them up and print some tags.

They say "Look up at the trees", "hey you!  you're gorgeous!", "hey beautiful", "Breathe", and "you are awesome"

This is necessarily crafty.  I want to use "learning stations" (I call them centers!  Its what they are!) in my classroom this year.  So the original idea was Monkeys and Barrels from pinterest but I couldn't find barrels.  So I went with pencil and paper.  My students will have to match the word to the lines and spaces on the musical staff.  So...  not really crafty cause I bought those pre-cut and printed but it was a lot of writing so I'm counting it!  Cheesy

Now - off to yarn something.  One of 7 or 8 projects going on right now.

So here's the most recent projects!  I've actually finished things and gotten them posted!  yay me!

The first project I'm posting is the granny square afghan that FantasticMio sent me the pattern for.  I decided to do it in scrap yarn (mostly - I needed certain colors!) and join together with black.  I think to make it fit me, I'm going to add some to it.

Secondly - Z's socks.  Just have to bury ends.  It's been kinda crazy around here with interviews and summer coming to an end soon.  So I haven't had a chance to get an action shot.  But they fit him!  Cheesy  I love me the Fish Lips Kiss Heel pattern!
