Here is a quilt, which turned out rather different than planned. It is for a dear friend of mine, and I have worked on it for over a year. Mostly because I had to redo most of it several times
. At last I hope she will like the result.
At first I wanted to make 'A trip around the world' quilt, but it was impossible for me to match all those corners, so I decided to make a simpler design by separating the blocks with solid triangles.
Jessica likes red and purple, but I found it needed some contrast to set it of. So I decided on triangles in blue/teal as well as pink. I played around with it a bit, and decided at last to have the blue in the middle and the pink around the edge.
The quilt was meant as a destashing project, but I had to bye the blue/teal fabric.
