1  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Re: 14 Quilt Projects in 2014 Quilt Along! on: November 22, 2014 04:08:29 PM
9 of 15 tops quilted.

 Binding tomorrow.

Next week. Finish the other 6.

Then. The commission I've been putting off. Unless I miraculously find a pre Christmas commission. Cheesy

Complete with glowing eyed cat holding down the sad finish from earlier this week. It's going home tonight.

7  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / a sad finish (embroidered menagerie) on: November 18, 2014 06:42:01 AM
A friend of mine asked me a few weeks back if I could finish a quilt her dad had started for her son. It's a huge animal quilt. All the blocks are intricate machine embroidered animals. She had found it while cleaning up some space for her mom to move back into once she is released from the hospital Sad.

The day I started working on it her mom was released From the ICU and admitted to a rehab wing at the hospital Smiley the day I started quilting it her dad was admitted to the ICU. Sad  And when I was binding it. She texted me he had passed away.   Cry now I don't know what to do. I'm hesitant to hand it over when all of this pain is so fresh. I don't know if it would help or hurt more.

A few of my fav blocks.

In an effort to get on top of the 'hey do you have a baby quilt around" that always happens this time if year I made a bunch.

Dark space (I need more of this space fabric)

Bright space

Block animals

Grey and red plaid.

Now to get to work on the rest of the stack.

But. Please. Can we stop with the cheerleaders?

Its way too cold for that. Wink
