1  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / Time And Relative Dimension In Space on: October 24, 2014 11:01:00 AM
I've wanted to make a TARDIS costume for ages and finally had a good reason (= a theme party) to do it  Grin
I forgot to take photos at the party itself, but fortunately was able to wear it to two conventions.

The first version was made for the party and worn at the first convention, I combined one of my cage skirts:

I wanted to wear the 2nd version to a lolita meetup, so it had to be slightly less revealing - but I think with a plain black underskirt it looks nice, too =)

All SO lovely! The polka dots are gorgeous, but the scrap pieces are just... stunning. WOW.

My goal is to go to WGT either next year and/or the year after. Maybe I'll see you there!
If you go there please tell me =) I'm not 100% sure if I'll go there again because it's quite expensive, but it sure was fun.

Thank you =) I made the pattern myself.

I made a punk lolita skirt using pretty tartan fabric - it's decorated with lace, a flock printed lock, some jersey scraps and other random bits.

I made 4 outfits for the WGT, a German Gothic festival =)

For the first one I made a bodice and a skirt - the skirt is made of several fabric and lace scraps and I love how it turned out. The bodice was a quick-and-dirty project and turned out okay...ish.

The next one is another quick and dirty project: the rose skirt was made by gathering and draping the fabric until I liked it. The corset and cage skirt are handmade, but a bit older.

My favorite piece is the polka dots dress because it's so comfortable and plain enough to wear it at work, too.

The last one was so much work, but I'm not really happy with it. I wanted to wear the skirt and corset (made of fabric and lace scraps) with a matching collar and a different top, but in the morning it was raining so hard that I decided to change things a bit. Needless to say the weather turned out great in the afternoon xD

This is the collar:

And because it was so much work: here are a few progress pictures of the scrap outfit. I used this technique Smiley

Two sweaters are a start at least... I didn't think I had enough to make a coat and now I have quite a lot of fabric left to a) save for the next coat or b) make armwarmers with.
Thank you!
