1  Punk Lolita Skirt in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Miaka on: June 23, 2013 08:20:41 AM
I made a punk lolita skirt using pretty tartan fabric - it's decorated with lace, a flock printed lock, some jersey scraps and other random bits.

2  My WGT outfits in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Miaka on: June 13, 2013 12:24:24 PM
I made 4 outfits for the WGT, a German Gothic festival =)

For the first one I made a bodice and a skirt - the skirt is made of several fabric and lace scraps and I love how it turned out. The bodice was a quick-and-dirty project and turned out okay...ish.

The next one is another quick and dirty project: the rose skirt was made by gathering and draping the fabric until I liked it. The corset and cage skirt are handmade, but a bit older.

My favorite piece is the polka dots dress because it's so comfortable and plain enough to wear it at work, too.

The last one was so much work, but I'm not really happy with it. I wanted to wear the skirt and corset (made of fabric and lace scraps) with a matching collar and a different top, but in the morning it was raining so hard that I decided to change things a bit. Needless to say the weather turned out great in the afternoon xD

This is the collar:

And because it was so much work: here are a few progress pictures of the scrap outfit. I used this technique Smiley

3  Sweater Coat in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Miaka on: April 07, 2013 12:49:58 PM
I've wanted to make a Katwise inspired sweater coat for years, but it has always been one of those "one day I might just do this"-projects. After cleaning my closet a few weeks ago I realized that I had quite a lot if sweaters that I never wear, so I decided to finally try it.

As much as I love rainbow colours and long hoods I'd probably never wear a coat like this, so I made a version in black and dark grey and added some lace to it.

I still feel like I have to make a long version with a hood and loads of colours because it's so pretty, but then again... now I have my own version that actually fits my style Cheesy

And those were my sweaters:

4  Fabric stash of DOOM -> cute clothes in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Miaka on: March 03, 2013 12:48:01 PM
Lately I've been cleaning out my closet and selling some of the clothes I hardly ever wear - which was a good opportunity to think about what I actually like to wear ^^
At the moment that's mostly frilly skirts, shirts with lace details and lace dresses.
So hopefully I'll be making some of these in the next few weeks - and I already started with a shirt and a skirt =)
Of course that's another great way of the whole cleaning thing... I'm using some of the fabrics I've been hoarding for months and sometimes years.

Jersey is not my friend, but the shirt turned out pretty cute I think... there are some small mistakes, but I think I can ignore them ^^

5  Galaxy Trend? Not for me... in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by Miaka on: February 14, 2013 12:54:04 PM
... at least I thought I wouldn't do anything with a galaxy print or pattern until I started to paint glass cabochons with nailpolish. Suddenly I had that weird idea to try a galaxy design and I couldn't stop after that.
Galaxies everywhere!

My favorite so far:

And another nailpolish project: a new choker ^^

6  What better than glitter? in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by Miaka on: February 07, 2013 12:54:34 PM
... a lot of glitter!

I made some necklaces with glass cabochons that were painted with nailpolish. Finally an nice way to use all the polishs that I had to buy but hardly ever use!

7  Fabric cabochon jewelry in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by Miaka on: January 25, 2013 12:26:33 PM
After working with polymer cabochons for quite a while now I decided it was time for something new... so I tried jewelry with fabric cabochons. I like how they turned out =)

8  Raccoon Brooch in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by Miaka on: January 22, 2013 07:03:27 AM
Last year in October I promised a friend of mine "something handmade" and she wanted "a raccoon". Since then I've been asking myself what I could do... it was supposed to be a small project. With a raccoon, of course.

I finally had an idea that I liked last week - a brooch with a felt raccoon. I love how it turned out - and she obviously likes it, too ^^

9  "Are you a princess?" *_* in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Miaka on: January 15, 2013 07:23:59 AM
I made this shirt using super soft knit fabric - I started with the idea to make a simple shirt, but somehow it ended up with some lace details, ruffles and puff sleeves xD
When I wore it to work a few days ago a little girl actually asked if I was a princess <3 I was a bit confused because I combined the shirt with black jeans that day and didn't feel very princessy, but it was still so cute ^^

The puff sleeves look better when it's worn, but there was noone to take a photo of me wearing it =/

And another piece I made for myself: a cute skirt made of grey/black lace. I love the fabric so much, it's grey lace with a black flock print *_*
When I tried this skirt on for the first time it looked a bit short, so I added some wide lace to the hem of the lining - it's funny how some sheer lace can make you feel less naked  Grin

10  Feather and lace... collar? statement necklace? neck...thingie? in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by Miaka on: January 15, 2013 07:05:09 AM
I'm not really sure what to call this  Grin

It a sort of... asymmetric necklace, maybe. The base was made using my soluvlies technique - I used soft tulle, wool and lace scraps for it. Then I decorated one side of it with feathers, lace/chiffon ruffles and some black beads.
