1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Dinosaur Hoodie on: October 18, 2009 11:05:57 AM

I made this Dinosaur Hoodie for my nephew's 4th birthday.  Pattern from last springs Crochet Today.  To adjust for size, I first started on the patterns large size in August.  At the time, it would have left plenty of room.  A week before his birthday he had a growth spurt that caused the large size in the pattern to be too small.  So!  I remade it going just a bit off pattern in order to accommodate his new taller self.
2  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Santa Mouse Swap on: September 04, 2009 08:29:33 AM
How many people have heard of Santa Mouse?  (Book of short stories about Santa's helper and how he fell into the job.)  Who would be interested in a Christmas swap of 2-3 gifts where they would have to be small enough to hide in a Christmas tree?
3  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / The reward for excellence is a Pink Puff Stitch Hat! on: August 27, 2009 06:09:24 PM
My BFs place of work does not allow the wearing of hats in the workplace. Apparently that is necessary for security purposes. (Technical support people are dangerous when they wear hats!) Because he has been doing so well lately, on Monday he got to pull a prize out a prize jar and .! This Friday he is allowed to wear a hat! I laughed and said Oh how about if I make you some sort of bright pink or bobble stitched hat?

He decided that would be hysterical and asked that I do it. (Image from scanner.)
4  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Pfaff Synchrotronic 1229 on: June 24, 2009 01:04:24 PM
I was recently given a Pfaff Synchrotronic 1229.  As learning to sew has been on my list of crafts to learn, I happily accepted it.  There is one small glitch though - no manual came with it.  I have looked online for a free version and have not found one.  (fingers crossed) Is there anyone out there who knows where I would be able to obtain a free copy of the Pfaff Synchrotronic 1229 users manual. Please advise.
5  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Stitch And BOTCH / Michaels coupons no longer good for books. on: November 09, 2008 07:27:15 AM
I was at Michaels yesterday and found out - that as of a month ago - they cannot apply their coupons to books.  The clerk asked me if I had a Joanne's coupon as they honor those and she could apply a Joanne's coupon to the book I wanted.  I thanked her and put the book back.  So anyways, if there is a crafting book you want and you do not want to pay full price - do not go to Michaels.
6  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Fingerless glove without a pattern! on: November 03, 2008 10:39:50 PM
I was asked to make a pair of fingerless gloves for a personal swap.  After finding a couple of cute patterns, and several days of frogging, I decided to just make up a pattern as I went along.

7  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Not sure of what to ask for... on: October 31, 2008 02:41:17 PM
A month ago I saw an add for a cookie tray.  You didn't have to roll out the dough - just press it into the shapes on the tray.  I set the ad aside and have not seen it since.  Does anyone know what I am talking about?  If you do - what it the name of it and where can I find it?  Please help.  Thanks.
8  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Presents from Santa Mouse (little presents for Christmas) swap on: September 14, 2008 03:08:01 PM
I used to have a very old, very loved (worn out) Christmas book called Santa Mouse - detailing his adventures and how he came to be Santa's helper.  The presents would have to be small enough to be hidden in/on a Christmas tree.
9  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / First project posted (but not first project completed) - Spider on: September 04, 2008 03:49:07 PM

I made this for a friend who has been out of town for a couple of weeks.  I left it partially hidden on her desk at work.  Imagine this peeking out at you from behind a folder.
10  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Bread Machine without instructions on: August 10, 2008 02:43:59 PM
One of our neighbors moved this weekend.  They gave me a "Panasonic Bread Bakery".  It did not come with  instructions.  Does anyone have something similar?  Should I just put in all the dry ingredients and then the wet?  Help - and instructions if possible - would be appreciated!
