1  Dinosaur Hoodie in Crochet: Completed Projects by crochetedkitten on: October 18, 2009 11:05:57 AM

I made this Dinosaur Hoodie for my nephew's 4th birthday.  Pattern from last springs Crochet Today.  To adjust for size, I first started on the patterns large size in August.  At the time, it would have left plenty of room.  A week before his birthday he had a growth spurt that caused the large size in the pattern to be too small.  So!  I remade it going just a bit off pattern in order to accommodate his new taller self.

This has popped into my email and since I am so good at being discreet ::giggle:: I had to share it right away

3  The reward for excellence is a Pink Puff Stitch Hat! in Crochet: Completed Projects by crochetedkitten on: August 27, 2009 06:09:24 PM
My BFs place of work does not allow the wearing of hats in the workplace. Apparently that is necessary for security purposes. (Technical support people are dangerous when they wear hats!) Because he has been doing so well lately, on Monday he got to pull a prize out a prize jar and .! This Friday he is allowed to wear a hat! I laughed and said Oh how about if I make you some sort of bright pink or bobble stitched hat?

He decided that would be hysterical and asked that I do it. (Image from scanner.)

AS promised, here is what my swap partner sent.

My work computer is to the side.  The kittens could not leave the yarn alone!

Ok - here are the long awaited pictures (first to receive, definitely not the first to post)

Going clockwise - yarn doll, two pins, perfume that absolutely smells like chocolate, two magnets, and three tacks.

A pretty necklace and fingerless glove that have already been used several times.

For some reason, the teacup will not scan - the colors blend into the background, but I will see what else I can do.

6  Re: 12 days of Christmas MINI swap gallery in The Swap Gallery by crochetedkitten on: December 30, 2008 12:47:44 PM
Day 1  cute Christmas Ornaments

Day 2  a Christmas tin filled with goodies from Burt's Bee and a finger towel

Day 3 cross-stitch Christmas tree. This may have been a part of Day 4.  There were also two Dagoba chocolate bars, but they did not last long enough for pictures!

Day 4  Star Garland, Silver Garland Wire, and pretty Glow in the Dark Yarn

7  Re: Holiday Ornament Swap Gallery (Sendouts: 12/12/08) in The Swap Gallery by crochetedkitten on: December 28, 2008 09:50:21 AM
I received from  bnyce126 yesterday.  Please excuse the pictures - my camera is still out of commission and I had to work on my scanner a bit.

Here are the ornaments in all their Christmasy and purple goodness:

And here is the additional loot that came with the ornaments.

Originally, there was also a bag of peppermints and chocolate kisses.  They are gone (and eating a peppermint and kiss at the same time is delicious!)

Thanks bnyce126.  I love it.

8  Fingerless glove without a pattern! in Crochet: Completed Projects by crochetedkitten on: November 03, 2008 10:39:50 PM
I was asked to make a pair of fingerless gloves for a personal swap.  After finding a couple of cute patterns, and several days of frogging, I decided to just make up a pattern as I went along.

I had a fun time meeting h_pets360.  My camera self-destructed - the batteries imploded while still inside the camera - I will post pictures as soon as I can.  I loved everything, but the egg was my favorite.  I think I may have to come up with some bacon napkin rings...

...a little after 530p...Ok, so still no camera in site: My scanner has been kind of hinky, but I was able to scan and save the pictures through Paint.  I then compressed them and converted them to jpg files.  As you may be able to tell, I'm quite proud of what few computer skills I do have.

So here is what h_pets360 made for me in all their yarny goodness:

(was unable to remove shadow from this one)

   (wonderfully Christmas red)

(and how awesome is this?  pretty damn awesome.)
