Beautiful piece of work. The colors are beautiful as is the painting. Have you seen the owls and bats Ann Wood makes? Did you have an inspiration, or was this from your own imagination?

Gorgeous! Reminiscent of the Russian fairytale illustrations.

Maybe it's the Scot in me, but I love the thistle. And the insects are so cool. This is something I've been thinking about picking up. Pinterest has some great examples, yours should be there too.

She's adorable and well made. A little hint about making clothing. If you've never sewn clothing before, it can be hard. Look at the construction of real clothes, and then use paper towels to drape on your doll to get the pattern pieces you want. Once you've figured it out with that, you can transfer to the fabric. You're really talented. I hope to see more from you.
6  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Nananananana Batman! on: May 26, 2014 12:03:16 AM
I love a challenge, and this doll gave plenty to figure out for the first time. The Batman costume is removable. The back is made with a knit fabric and has snaps. Even so, after figuring out most things, I am still not satisfied with my shoe making. Something to work on, I guess.

And one more, as the wealthy playboy, Bruce Wayne.

All of your skills together in one magnificent piece. I don't even know where the inspiration came from for this doll. It's like nothing I've seen before. Professional quality for sure.

I think the character in this latest Disney movie are gorgeous. It was a pleasure to make on eof them into a doll. It's always a challenge to go from cartoon to doll and try and make it look less cartooney. This is for a 5 year old little girl, and I probably shouldn't have sewn all the crystals into her hair, because they're just going to get pulled off and lost, but I couldn't help myself. The embellishing is so much fun.
