1  Uncle Sam doll in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by craftewoman on: July 17, 2016 06:21:17 PM
I took a break from doll making for about a year or two. Jumping back in with this fella.

I still hate making shoes, but I'm going to work on that this Fall while the kids are in school. I also am looking at trying some different patterns for the doll. This one is of my own making. But, I am intrigued by ball jointed dolls. In my Instagram I've discovered some really talented doll makers and I'm hoping to learn from them.

I laid down my painting and drawing for many years. I've been busy raising children. Now that they've gone back to school I have more time to indulge.
Just some things I've done in the last 3 weeks:
Watercolor:

Crayon:

4  Nananananana Batman! in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by craftewoman on: May 26, 2014 12:03:16 AM
I love a challenge, and this doll gave plenty to figure out for the first time. The Batman costume is removable. The back is made with a knit fabric and has snaps. Even so, after figuring out most things, I am still not satisfied with my shoe making. Something to work on, I guess.

And one more, as the wealthy playboy, Bruce Wayne.

9  Divya a Christmas Elf from India in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by craftewoman on: December 02, 2013 11:00:29 AM
I've had so much fun making dolls with all different skin hues. Making elves from around the world has given me an opportunity to expand my creativity and learn some new techniques.

This is Divya, my Indian elf. She wears a traditional Punjabi and facial jewelry including a bindi (forehead jewel) which represents the third eye.

10  Things get a little Trixie at Christmas in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by craftewoman on: November 12, 2013 04:02:52 PM
Sometimes when inspiration hits I just have to go with it and let the muse take over. This means that the house is a mess and the laundry is piling up. When I was thinking about decorating my tree this year with my Christmas elves, I thought it would be fun to have one who had fallen off her perch. And that's how Trixie was born.
