Love the laboratory!

I have also received a fantastic ATC from sheepBlue! She claimed me for outdoor cafe and sent this amazing scene titled "Unattended Cookies".  Cheesy

It is perfect, makes me think of a little cafe at the beach! The walls look so awesome and can't get over that tiny chair! Love it, all the details are amazing! Thanks sheepBlue! Grin

6  Re: 50 Projects 2015 --POST YOUR 2015 Lists in Craftalongs by spikefan on: January 22, 2015 08:05:33 PM
Wow, this thread moves fast. So many lovely things!

elliot_anne, great narwhal hoop!
AIMR, cute ballerninni! And such lovely crochet and knitted things!
Ave, those dresses are so pretty!
Smeddley, what a fun book! I will have to show your project page to my mom. I introduced her to some stuff about art journaling a couple of days ago and think your book would be good inspiration for her. I also think I may use a couple of your ideas for my daughters custom wreck this journal she wants me to make.

Sorry in advance for the abundance of projects, I've made a few things this week and finally had time to take pics and share. I learned how to knit socks back in December and they are now one of my favorite things to make. I unfortunately learned that I am allergic to wool and had to find some wool-free yarn to use, so I picked up some Premier Wool-Free and it makes the most colorful and wonderful feeling socks. I made two pairs this week, one in Utah and one in Oceanic.

I decided to do some new things with ATCs other than my chibi characters and monster drawings so I have been spending a lot of time drawing lately. I used a mix of Copic and Bic Mark-Its and made a Damselfly ATC based on this photograph on pinterest.

And I recieved a beautiful Vulture ATC from Chameleonhound in the Dec. Ongoing ATC swap and it inspired me to give sketching a try. I had some interesting birds pinned to my pinterest that I thought would be fun to draw so I drew a few of them up as ATCs.

Shoebill, Vulture Guinea, Asian Paradise Flycatcher, and a Eastern Yellow-billed Hornbill

I was also inspired by some artwork of Greece on pinterest and decided to try watercolors and made an ATC of a window in Greece. Had some issues with getting the right colors and them bleeding over onto the white but hoping my next try goes better.

Thanks for posting pictures! The bracelet is beautiful, I can't wait to give it to my mom for mother's day. And I love the Doctor Who mini TM patch/poptart! Isn't the adipose so cute?! And can you believe that tiny sonic screwdriver and all of the tiny stitching?! I have to have a collection of these little things now. Cheesy

I have also received from Averia! Unfortunately I can't seem to get anything to work together so I can get some good pictures, so I had to use an old phone's camera to get pics uploaded. She made me not one but two wonderful tablet cases, a Doctor Who themed one and a Supernatural themed one. Love them and they fit perfectly! She also sent some extra Sherlock fabric that I can't wait to use.

I'm working on a collection of embroidered moths/butterflies and Averia made me a beautiful butterfly stumpwork embroidery that just blows my mind. The stitching is amazing! I hope she can share some better pictures or posts a thread for it so you can see it better.
Thanks so much anna.wahnsinn and Averia for the amazing packages and for swapping with me!  Grin

10  Re: ONGOING ATC SWAP - DECEMBER 2014 - Gallery in The Swap Gallery by spikefan on: January 01, 2015 12:59:16 PM
Here are all the wonderful ATCs I received this round. I've been battling the flu so am late getting them up.

From Acadian Driftwood for my embroidered theme, a beautifully embroidered Luna Moth. I am starting a collection of small moths/butterfly embroidery so this is perfect for putting in my shadowbox.

From ChameleonHound, for my vulture theme, a stunning Egyptian Vulture pencil sketch (I believe is what you would call it). I was actually inspired to try my hand at doing a sketch ATC this round because of this card.

ChameleonHound claimed me twice and also sent a lovely outdoor cafe card.

From Mountains and Clouds for my watercolor theme, a serene watercolor seascape.

And from artsycandice for my theme reddish egret, a wonderful reddish egret collage.

Thanks so much everyone for the lovely cards and so sorry for the delay in posting them!
