1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / You were fantastic- 9th Doctor Cross Stitch on: January 26, 2017 04:45:00 PM
I love the 9th Doctor. I wish he would've been on for more seasons. I found this pattern on Etsy, and it's the Doctor made out of a quote. It says "you were fantastic, absolutely fantastic. And you know what? So was I."

He's about 14" high and was really fun to stitch.
2  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Sexy Patriot Pillow Case on: January 21, 2017 08:29:04 PM
My mom gave me this hilarious fabric and I wasn't sure what to do with it.  Then I thought a pillow case would be perfect.

3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / I Heart the Doctor Coin Purse on: January 21, 2017 06:45:41 PM
I found this pattern/tutorial at Dog Under My Desk.  I'm a fan of Doctor Who and I found this fabric with all his regenerations and thought it would be fun to make a heart shaped coin purse with it.

4  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / 9th Doctor Who-pla on: January 12, 2017 06:58:59 PM
The 9th Doctor is my most favorite.  I did this hoopla of him.  He's in an 8" hoop.

He was really fun to stitch, but he took more than a whole skein of black floss!
5  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Godzilla and Other Hooplas on: December 06, 2016 04:41:20 PM
My husband and I went a little crazy and decided to make most people's Christmas gifts this year.  This, of course, includes hooplas since we love our cross stitch.

My husband made this one for our friends.

He also made this little Pooh ornament for his sister.

And I made this one for my brother, who is a gunsmith.
6  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Goofy Mug Shot on: November 21, 2016 05:52:59 PM
Continuing his dark Disney stitching, my husband's latest cross stitch is Goofy's mug shot.  I think he did a great job!  It fits in an 8x10 frame.

I still haven't talked him into making his own craftster account.  C & C is welcome because he likes to see what people think of his work.
7  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Hidden Mickey Disney Cross Stitch on: July 27, 2016 09:29:02 AM
This monster took me about a month and a half to complete.  Finished size is about 13"x12".  So many colors!

I like that it has some of the more classic and obscure characters like Robin Hood, Baloo, Bianca, Mr. Toad and Cuzco.  Now the question is where in the world am I going to find wall space for this?
8  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / 18" Doll Clothes (lots of pictures) on: July 10, 2016 04:14:13 PM
Every time I do a craft fair I'm constantly asked if I make clothes for American Girl.  I couldn't afford an actual American Girl but I got an Our Generation doll at Target and gave it a try.

Here's my pirate/fantasy outfit.  I goofed and the seam for the skirt ended up in the front, but I still like how it turned out.

Without the corset

Here's a retro one.

I'd appreciate feedback because I haven't done anything as involved as the pirate dress.  Thanks for looking!
9  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Dumbo- Tim Burton Style on: July 01, 2016 09:23:53 AM
My husband loves Dumbo, and he came across this rendering of what the character would look like if Tim Burton had designed him.  I made it into a pattern for him and he did a wonderful job of stitching it.

He likes to hear what people think of his work, so please feel free to post comments.
10  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Fallout 4 Comic on: May 16, 2016 09:09:17 PM
I've been teaching myself to draw and I've decided that I like the retro style of cartooning.  I'm doing a series of one-page Fallout comics that pretty much show how much of a pain Preston Garvey is.

The one I'm working on now is the sole survivor and Paladin Danse confessing their love to each other and good old Preston shows up to ruin the moment.  Anyway, I appreciate any C&C!
