Hipslinger It’s Tute Tuesday! This week our featured tutorial is a lovely hipslinger bag posted by Rocknroar. This adorable hands-free bag is heaps more stylish that an old fashioned fanny pack/bum bag, but just as convenient. You can use it for almost anything. Carry your essentials with you, use it for treats when walking your dog, your locker key at the gym, or make one to keep your money and ID safe on the dance floor! Rocknroar walks you through her process so that you can soon have your own rockin’ hipslinger. Check it out here!

If you make a hipslinger using this tutorial, let us know. We’d love to see what you come up with!

I know this is going to bring up visions of fanny packs — but that bag would seriously be great for going to theme parks! If I had the time to make it, mine would probably find use as a bag for hiking with!

I love fanny packs! i have a black one and a purple ‘n teal one…if you can get over the stigma they make great “no worry” purses! i use them when i go to the club, or to the mall. i dont have to worry about putting my purse down somewhere or pickpockets! these bags are a great way to take the convenience of a fanny pack and turn it into a cute accessory! yaaaaay!

Woah! This is crazy timing! My partner and I are going to teach in Korea in a few months time and I was lamenting to him the other day about how all the money belts are ugly and flesh toned and I’ll have to search the web to find a decent pattern then I log onto craftster and my perfect pattern is here! Fantastic! It must be fate;)

I will be making this to keep all my baby’s stuff in when I am wearing pants without pockets. I will also put in my iPhone considering my other one suffered when I fell out of my pocket. Great project! Any who doesn’t love a carabiner?

Cute! The hip pack is so functional that we have to bring it back into style. I’m always afraid of loosing my purse, I made a hip pack myself ( http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=267326.msg3007393#msg3007393 ). I’m not allowed to have a purse while I’m working, but my boss lets me get away with this one!

The Moose, I love your version, too! One of the many reason Craftsters rock is they can take something ugly like a fanny pack, and make it awesome!

Wow this is cool! I was wondering what I was going to make my friend as a parting OE gift! Shes always losing things (seriously, like phones and eftpos cards) so now I know what to make her! Awesome!

This is too cute to be a fanny pack. This is a utility belt. You know, like Batman’s belt that holds all of his gadgets.

  9. Sarah Cruse says:

This is so cite, I love the shape, I love that the fanny pack is coming back, all new and sassy!
