One of our most prolific members also has one awesome crafty sleeve! Violentjayne‘s left arm is dedicated to her love of sewing. Her sleeve features a pincushion, scissors, a seam ripper, a dress form, measuring tape, and more! Here are a few small pics but there are much bigger photos here. Have a crafty tat? [...]
Member spunkybubbles says she loves buttons and hand-sewing so of course she got a button sewn onto her wrist! I love the colors and the placement and… just everything about it! Have a crafty tat? Share it here and you might be featured!
I love vintage sewing machines! Obviously lindseymichelle does, too! She has an amazing tat of a vintage machine in the middle of a crafting session. The draping of the fabric and all the little extras around the machine (lindseymichelle says the pincushion is her fave!) are fantastic! What a great little scene to keep with [...]
This tattoo isn’t exactly a crafty cover-up as much as it is a super crafty addition! The fairy had been on aphrasdaughter for about 10 years and almost got covered up, until aphra had an epiphany: add a spool and buttons! The finished addition looks wonderful with the original tat. Aphrasdaughter says, “I like that [...]
I’m a sucker for a bird tattoo but this one is crafty, too! Craftster member MegPrice has this lovely birdie in honor of her father, who she says is the source of her crafty genes. Her father’s last name (and her maiden name) is Wrenn, so this lovely wren is perfect. Add to that the [...]
It’s pretty rare that you see a papercrafting tattoo, but sf craftster has a gorgeous one! She has a simple but beautiful origami paper crane tattoo. Just clean straight lines but there is beauty in the simplicity!
Check out mansonette‘s gorgeous crafty supplies tattoo! Not only does it encompass some of her crafting loves (crochet and sewing) and have a fantastic banner, but each of the buttons represents a member of her immediate family. Awwww! What an awesome crafty tat!
Simple but beautiful! That’s Roethke‘s crafty tat. Her black and white sewing scissors span her inner forearm with amazing shading detail! Gorgeous! You can a larger version of the picture shown here and one additional picture of her tattoo here.
One of my absolute favorite crafty tattoos just happens to be on one of my favorite people in the whole world: our very own Needlework moderator, kittykill! The top of her right arm is covered with a gorgeous embroidery themed tattoo.
“Simple but adorable” is how I would describe the tape measure tattoo of cigarettesandvalentines. Every seamstress has one in her notions box, but how many have such a darling one on their skin? Just an ordinary yellow tape measure, tied in a bow and tattooed onto her leg. Perfect!
Now, I didn’t intend to have so many sewing tattoos featured in a row, but hopefully after seeing skyra‘s beautiful sleeve work, you’ll forgive me, or at least understand my motivation! It is absolutely stunning. The gorgeous lady tightening up her corset. The wonderful old dress form. The drool inducing sewing machine, and that perfect [...]
This month’s featured tattoos come from kellyhelene. They are just some good old fashioned basic sewing tools done with great style and great colors! The pincushion is based off of the one she uses. It was originally her mother’s! That’s one tough tomato. The sewing machine is also based off of her first machine! “A [...]
As you may have seen, for the first installment of CrafTATstic Crafty Tattoos, I featured LUBEE and her fabulous fiber sleeve. For the second installment, I thought I’d go a little more restrained. Some people don’t want a full sleeve, like LUBEE. They want something smaller, something more easily hidden. And that’s where Red Paint [...]
