Summer is almost upon those of us in the northern hemisphere. For many this means it’s finally warming up after a long bitter season of cold. Here are a bunch awesome craft/DIY projects to celebrate this oncoming warm weather.

Think you need to put down the crochet hooks and knitting needles during the summer? Think again! These hat are made in nice light colors which won’t soak up the heat and instead will shield you from all the sun you’ll get from spending time outdoors.

Maybe it’s just me but there’s something about summer that makes for the perfect excuse to bust out and wear floral hair accessories.

How about some adorable new summer dresses for the lil’ gals in your life? Craftster member Tiph used New Look pattern 6578 to whip up these beauties. I love how you can pick any combination of fabric and buttons to create so many different possibilities.

Then there’s warm weather food to think about. I searched around Craftster to see if anyone had posted any yummy homemade popsicle ideas but instead I found two super cute tank tops made in popsicle-themed fabric.

Luckily in the ice cream department, Craftster have not failed us. Here are recipes for vegan blueberry cheesecake ice cream, easy berry frozen yogurt, and fresh nectarine ice cream.
