You may remember the blog article I did about the Wizard Die Cut Machine last November. Well, I just received some new dies from our sponsor, Spellbinders! These Pendant dies are so fun and easy to use with the Spellbinder’s Wizard Die Cut Machine. Here’s what I made with my new Pendant dies:
Of course, these dies are great for all your scrapbooking needs, but I always love to see what I can do with them beyond a scrapbook page. When I saw the “Tulips” dies, for example, I thought of making a paper banner. I chose some coordinating papers and cut out five large pendants. I stamped the word “party” on a blue background paper, glued each letter on the back of the pendants so it showed through the center cut out, and wove a ribbon through the back for hanging. Wouldn’t it be cute to make one of these for a nursery or a child’s room, using the name of the child?
I love the little tulip shape that comes with the dies I used for the party banner. I have been needing a little piece of art to go in my kitchen, so I grabbed some of my favorite scrapbook paper, cut out a few inchies, and attached the tulip shapes on top. Look how cute my little framed art is! It’s perfect for a small space.
One thing I love about the Wizard and these dies: they not only cut out the shapes, but emboss them as well! I cut out five beautiful shapes from the “In Spades” dies, and embossed each one. I used one of the dies from the Borderabilities line to make the base of a bookmark, and then layered the five pendant shapes on top for embellishment.
I love the white on white look and the texture of this simple but elegant bookmark. On the left, there is a closeup of the embossed texture.
The round shape in the “Eyelets” set reminded me of a wreath and I got to thinking of Christmas. I cut and embossed the large wreath shape out of some scrapbook paper, put a picture of Santa in the middle, added a few glitter berries and some red trim, and wrote “Merry Christmas” with a gel pen. Ho ho ho, it was quick and easy, and way more personal than a purchased card.

These Pendant dies from Spellbinders are a great addition to your crafty tool collection. They are so versatile and make every project special. What are you making with YOUR Spellbinders dies?
