Happy Hanukkah Crafts!

Thursday begins the celebration of Hanukkah, so I thought I’d get everyone in the mood by featuring some Hanukkah crafts!

Inspired by the book “Judaikitsch”, fairysari painted this gefilte fish platter as a gift to her parents. Her gefilte fish, with its faux Latin text, even has a kippah (beanie)!

Here’s a fun menorah that won’t burn tiny fingers! Caine made all the candles (and the flames!) out of felt. What a great way for kids to participate in the celebration.
Ugly Christmas sweaters are everywhere, but it’s probably just about impossible to find an ugly Hanukkah sweater! socksuka got into the fun by making her own, using a thrifted sweater and appliques.
drunkenatheist stitched up this fabric gelt bag. Who wouldn’t love a sweet little bag like this, filled with chocolate coins?

This photo of HSG‘s potato latkes makes my mouth water. I’m glad she included the recipe, because I would make these any day of the year! Mmmm…..latkes…..

If you’ll be lighting your menorah this Thursday night, we wish you the happiest of Hanukkahs!
