  1. I think this is great, I am new to spinning and preparing fibers but I definately have to make one of these. Wheres my screwdriver ?

    Made one last weekend and tried it out on some blue-faced Leicester I recently dyed. It worked great! I dyed up a whole bunch of other colors and can’t wait for them to dry so I can start doing some serious blending. (Used a 50-cent fender washer from the hardware store as a diz.) I think if I ever want to blend some really fine fibers–silk, angora, etc.–I will probably need something with finer teeth (or maybe I need to build another hackle using hair combs with finer teeth) but this little homemade hackle just saved me some serious $$. Thank you for sharing!
