If you own a computer, you probably own one or more flashdrives, or usbs. They’re so great to have, but they’re tiny and easy to lose. The obvious solution, if you’re a Craftster, is to modify your usb so that it stands out in a crowd. Here’s what some of you did:
faeriegirl made her usbs into the cutest little aliens using felt that she hand stitched. |
| azreno used fimo clay to fashion this steampunk cover. In her post, she explains how to bake the fimo clay using a special plug to take the place of the actual flashdrive to avoid damaging it in the oven. | ![]() |
| foldingj used a dismembered plastic Halloween finger to protect her usb for this creepy look. | ![]() |
| It would be hard to misplace your usb if it were this cute! Usagi-chan made this cover with a bright yellow rubber ducky. | ![]() |
| Have fun with it! Here are several flashdrives made with small toys. foldingj has an entire fleet of usbs at hand now! | ![]() |
You can find these and other great solutions to altering your flashdrives if you click on this Craftster tag: usb.

I made one of beaker from the Muppets http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=294699.msg3352588#msg3352588 sadly still found him easy to leave behind!..I retired him in the end as I couldn’t bear to loose him again!
