CrafTATstic Crafty Tattoos: Kittykill’s Embroidering Lady
||One of my absolute favorite crafty tattoos just happens to be on one of my favorite people in the whole world: our very own Needlework moderator, kittykill! The top of her right arm is covered with a gorgeous embroidery themed tattoo.
I asked kitty for a little bit of an explanation and here’s what she said. The heart at the bottom is a Victorian embroidery stencil with embroidery scissors and thread on either side and Victorian roses placed around the edges. In the final version of the tattoo the thread is made by the OMP company, which are the initials of her husband’s nickname and her three dog’s initials are in also hidden in the tattoo. The woman is wearing 1950’s pajamas because she mainly does her stitching in pajamas and the crow is watching the needle cause he likes shiny objects! You can see the entire tattoo in the beginning stages here, a little more recently here, and the latest and greatest pics are here!
