Book Introduction: Kanzashi in Bloom
|Share the love...||
OK, I admit it. I have been admiring those gorgeous kanzashi flowers around for a few years now, and I have been afraid to try them. I have swapped and bought a few, and looked up tutorials, but I have been afraid to try. There, I said it. Can you still respect me? Well, I am happy to report that in this book Diane Gilleland has demystified the kanzashi process, and I am no longer afraid! In fact, I have been looking at my fabric stash with a wicked gleam in my eye and kanzashi petals in my heart!
Not only does she clearly show a simplified process for making and assembling the flowers, she offers some great ideas for places to put them when you’re done. It’s a really uncomplicated, yet elegant selection of projects, and it’s cured me of Kanzashi-phobia! My wardrobe will never be the same! Thanks to our sponsors at Random House, and to Diane Gilleland for this book. Now, I am off to cut out petals!
