Christmas is but a month away! For adults, it’ll be here before you know it, but kids and kids at heart will have a longer wait. Either way, it’s always fun to count down the days. Here are five great advent calendars found on Craftster. If you hurry, you might have time to make one of your own before December 1st!

I love this driftwood village calendar by LimeRiot. Each day a new house or tree is added, until the village is complete on Christmas day.

Here’s a great idea from phoenixfiredesigns: spray paint a cookie sheet and include numbered Christmas icons, attached to magnets.
Matchboxes make great drawers for tiny surprises and treats. MissKerouac stacked hers up in this great desktop countdown calendar

PlumCrafty made a festive bunting, using trees instead of flags. The base of each tree is actually a tiny pocket for advent treats.
Here’s another idea using a cookie sheet and magnets. luckydog used small Altoids tins to make her advent calendar. Each  tin holds a tiny surprise.

Click on the Craftster tag “advent calendar” to find these projects and many more. From simple to complex, you’re sure to find the inspiration to make an advent calendar of your own.
