CrafTATstic: Crafty Tattoos – Lubee’s fiber sleeve
Our first featured tattoo is from LUBEE. LUBEE’s sleeve is fantastic. It covers lots of different aspects of fiber crafting all in one harmonious piece. She has sheep giving wool, a woman spinning on her Ashford Elizabeth spinning wheel, and the spun fiber flowing around and down to a ball of yarn with knitting needle stuck inside. It’s a gorgeous tattoo that will hopefully keep inspiring LUBEE and others for years to come!

This is an amazing tattoo. I feel so happy for people that have quality work…and especially something like this. This is very inspiring. Thanks for sharing!
Wow, gorgeous!
Very nice! I want to get something like this done, but I can’t decide what to get.
amazingly beautiful. so inspired!
Wow thats simply amazing. I’ve been wanting to get a tattoo of something that had to do with my love of crafting but I’ve only gotten as far as thinking about it.
Amazing! My tattoos have a vintage (and feminist theme, hard to explain!). I love it. You’re lucky to find a fabulous tattoo artist. The guy who does mine is brilliant, too. Fabulous!!!
FABULOUS!
I love the juxtaposition of the bada$$ full-sleeve tattoo, with things like knitting needles, and sheep!
wow that is awesome !
these are the kind of tattoos that make me wish i had the guts to get one. it’s a great piece of “wearable art”, anyway.
you have some amazing tattoos. I love them.
So lovely! Can we get some more info, please? Like tattoo shop and artist?
What a beautiful piece. Thanks for sharing it with us!
I love your ink. It its like watching a ball of yarn being born.
Love this idea for an article and hope to see a lot of them! My only craft-inspired tattoo so far is a skull and cross bones except the bones are replaced with scissors and I have a matching one on the other arm except with safety pins. I can’t wait to get more since making things is such a big part of my life.
This is such a beautiful tattoo:)
WOW!
I have to say i wasn’t expecting to scroll down the Craftster.org home page and see my arm.
First thank you for ALL of the wondeerful comments!
and now to anwser some of your question:
I have been working on the tattoo for over a year now…..the ball of yarn and knitting needles was the first to kick start the arm..
The artists name is Stevie Floyd and she works out of St. Augstine,FL at Pegasus Gallery.
new and updated picture can be found on my flicker page but i will try to upload them to craftster very soon.
Thank you again.
LUBEE…(aka AshleyB)
wow! I have been knitting and crocheting for a little over 10 years now and I never thought of having that worked into a tattoo! I don’t know why, it just never occured to me that I could show my love for this “art form” in such a way … wonderful idea! Now I need to come up with something for me that displays my love for my “abilities” in a way that is just as tasteful for me!
thank you for the inspiration!
Yay LUBEE! I’m sorry, I *totally* spaced giving you a heads up about the article! :/
wow, i love it, it’s so cool
I love it! I used to think sleeves were cool looking but not for me. Now everytime I see them I like the looks of them even more and more… Love the crafty theme!
so cool.
Just stunning. The creativity of this is breathtaking.
Nice! I love seeing tattoos with such a personal and creative touch.
A true piece of art.
