Twilight Fever has hit everywhere and with fans this devoted it was only a matter of time before a Twilight craft ended up on Manic Monday! Shaebay says she worked on this 8×12 cross-stitch piece “on and off for 2 months (mostly off).” It has 25 colors and 24,320 stitches! You can see the full [...]

You may or may not know that I have LOTS of fuse bead experience. As much as I’ve organized TONS of beads onto little peg boards I’ve never been anywhere close to making something this great! A life-like portrait out of beads?! Awesome! Futzz created these great portraits of herself and her loved ones [...]

This has to be one of my favorite projects on Craftster. An entire Mario world in cross-stitch! Cross stitch ninja made 50,000 stitches over the course of 4 months to make this Mario screen replica! You can see the full details of this project here:

Now you may not think this little pillow looks like much. In fact you may have glossed over it in the forums. But when you read how much of this was made by hand, you may take a second look! That lacey edging around the pillow looks like purchased trim. No big [...]

It took KatherineEmma four months and tons of scrap to complete just the TOP of what will be a completed scrap quilt. It’s so big her machine wouldn’t be able to do the actual quilting! Her goal was to get rid of all those scraps that were just hanging around. I’m not sure if she [...]

Sarcastra must have a lot of good luck. Look at all of the lucky stars she’s made! She used them to make a banner for her blog (by making the banner by hand and taking a picture of it). She ended up using 1120 stars but that’s actually just a portion of the total number [...]

Anya Kase translated a gorgeous art print by Sunny Buick into a great embroidery project! It’s about 7 inches tall and very detailed! She used 6 different shades of thread, just for her hair! She says she worked on it a few hours a day for a few months! You can also see the full [...]

I wasn’t able to sneak this into the Featured Projects this time around but I definitely wanted to give it some attention! A little fabric glue, tons of sequins and a fair chunk of time was all that was needed to make these Dorothy knock-offs. Katelouise spent about 9 hours and used 17 meters [...]

This absolutely beautiful piece was done by sophieangele for a friend’s wedding. It’s a verse from the Song of Songs in Hebrew surrounded by some great botanic designs. It looks laser cut! But no, she cut it all out by hand. It’s intricate and gorgeous and just downright well done. What an awesome gift! You [...]

Acidtrix created this for a Repo! The Genetic Opera costume. She used 4mm glass rhinestones that needed to be heat set. Acidtrix claims that she “mangled” the bra when she made some mistakes. I think she has to be crazy because it looks flawless to me! I mean really, look at the placement of the [...]

Let’s see 378 different fabrics? Check. 475 fabric squares? Check. 65 FOOT circumference around the bottom? CHECK! Wow. 65 feet! SpottedFrog put a ton of effort into this awesome twirly skirt. And you know what? She didn’t even keep it. She gave it away in a swap! This project is a great example of [...]
Not only is this mosaic amazing but the creator, redflag, shares some awesome tips for making mosaics on the cheap. For example, in this project she used a $3.00 table from a secondhand store. And for the mosaic pieces she smashed up freebie leftovers from the local home improvement store. She couldn’t find just the [...]

This is beelisty’s first appearance on Manic Monday, but I can almost guarantee you it won’t be her last. She is an awesome needlecrafter who creates a lot of amazingly realistic portrait cross stitches. This time, she worked from a picture she took of the Twin Cities own Spoonbridge. 7000 stitches in 70 [...]

A garbage can made of garbage? That’s… poetic. It also looks like it took a very long time! All the cutting and gluing! My god. lovething says she got the idea from Mark Montano’s The Big-Ass Book of Crafts. She cut tons of strips out of magazines, made them into circles, and attached [...]

Wow. How atypical ismene even managed to find enough supplies for her project is beyond me, let alone how much patience it must’ve taken! She created an entire ensemble for her senior prom. Dress, purse, necklace, tie for date, and shoe and hair embellishments all made out of pop tabs!
Here’s the breakdown [...]
