RO-3500 Monitored Reverse Osmosis System
This Pentek 161013 RO-3500 Reverse Osmosis System reduces chlorine taste and odor, dissolved minerals, salts, lead, selenium, and protozoan cysts in under-sink residential drinking water applications. It can be used to treat chlorinated or non-chlorinated water, and produces up to 7.6 gallons of filtered water per day. The three-stage filtration process uses two carbon filter cartridges and a reverse osmosis (RO) membrane. An integrated electronic water quality monitor indicates when the membrane should be replaced. The system has an operating pressure range of 40 to 100 psi. This reverse osmosis system meets National Sanitation Foundation/American National Standards Institute (NSF/ANSI) standard 58 for quality assurance, and is used for the purification of residential and commercial drinking water.Specifications Thin-film membrane ROM-230TN Carbon cartridges Culligan D-15 and D-20 Capacity 7.6 gallons per day Temperature range 40 to 100 degrees F (4.4 to 37.8 degrees C) Pressure range 40 to 100 psi Maximum system dimensions (H x W x D ) 13-3⁄4" x 12-3⁄4" x 4-3⁄4" (349mm x 324mm x 120mm) Maximum tank dimensions (H x W x D ) 16-3⁄4" x 11-1⁄4" x 11-1⁄4" (425mm x 286mm x 286mm) Contaminant reduction certification NSF/ANSI standard 58H is height, the vertical distance from lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back.Water filters remove undesirable particles, chemicals, and microorganisms from water by means of a semipermeable barrier, adsorption, or biological processes. They are made of densely packed synthetic or natural fibers that trap suspended particles, materials that block microbes or adsorb unwanted chemicals, or substances that cause a chemical change, such as acid neutralization. For most residential, commercial, and industrial applications, water filters are manufactured in the form of replaceable cartridges that fit inside permanent housings. Filtration systems typically consist of a series of two or more types of filters, each designed to remove different contaminants. The performance of filters is measured by the minimum particle size that is blocked, the percentage of particles or microorganisms that are removed, the downstream concentration of unwanted chemicals, the maximum flow rate, and the amount of water that can be filtered before the filter must be replaced. Water filters are used in a wide range of applications, including drinking water purification, swimming pools, industrial processes, and irrigation, among others.Pentair manufactures industrial, commercial, and residential water filtration components and systems. The company, founded in 1966 and headquartered in Minneapolis, MN, meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards 9001 and 14001 for quality assurance. What’s in the Box?(3) housingsManifold coverStorage tank with valveWater quality monitorRO membrane(2) carbon filter cartridgesLong-reach lead-free faucetSW-5 sump wrenchInstallation hardware
