 | Pontiac Montana SV6 (2-inch) Class II Towing Receiver (1-pc. Welded, Removable Draw Bar) (3,500 lb. Weight Capacity) - No-Drill 2005 / 2009 - Valley Receiver hitches fit many full-size pickups, are corrosion-resistant, have a powder-coat paint finish and are made in the U.S.A.HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT HITCHSelecting the right hitch is dependent on the type of vehicle used for towing and the size and weight of the trailer to be towed. Gross Trailer Weight and Trailer Tongue Weight determines the class of hitch.Gross Trailer Weight (GTW)Gross Trailer Weight (GTW) is the total weight under fully-loaded trailer conditions, including food, water, gear, etc. Measure the gross trailer load by placing the fully-loaded trailer on a commercial scale. (See chart below to choose the hitch you need.)Trailer Tongue Weight (TW)Trailer Tongue Weight (TW) is the downward pressure that the tongue of a fully-loaded trailer exerts on the hitch ball. Tongue weight can be measured on a commercial scale, or on a bathroom scale. Be sure the trailer is level and the wheels are chocked.Vehicle Towing Capacity is the manufacturer's specification of the weight the vehicle is designed to tow. Although some hitches may have a higher stated capacity since they fit other vehicles, never exceed the manufacturer's stated trailer capacity. The specifications are found in the vehicle's owner manual, or can be obtained by writing to the vehicle manufacturer. -- Make: Pontiac -- Model: Montana -- Years: 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 |
