Created by renowned portrait artist Patricia Smith, it captures Mickey circa 1956, when The Mick stunned the baseball world by winning baseball's 14th Triple Crown with the most home runs of any Triple Crown winner. In fact, Mickey led both leagues in home runs, rbi and batting - only the fourth time that feat has ever been accomplished! Mickey, with his famously toothy smile, casually holds his bat over his right shoulder with Yankee Stadium - decked out in red, white and blue World Series bunting - looming in the background behind him, authentic down to the smallest detail!
