| Creativity 350 - T-Shirt Contest
FAQ
How does participating in this contest help stop global warming?
To sum it up; it's all about finding creative and interesting ways to
spread the word!
By spreading the word about the number 350, you're helping to build a
growing global movement to stop global warming. 350 represents what scientists
are now calling the safe upper limit for carbon dioxide, the main contributor
to global warming, in our atmosphere. 350 thus represents a common goal
for people all over the world who seek to save our planet from dangerous
climate change, and to work towards a brighter future. By spreading the
word through t-shirts and amazing craft projects, you can help educate
your community, and communities around the globe about why solving global
warming and aiming for 350 is important. For more frequently asked questions

What kind of t-shirt design should I come up with?
Anything you want that somehow imparts the importance of the number 350
in a way that's creative or crafty or artistic or clever... or all of
the above! For more information on the number 350, click
here.
Are there guidelines for the type of design I create and the numbers
of colors the design uses, etc?
The designs that afford the most flexibility for t-shirt printing use
4 colors or less and have imagery that is not too overly complex.
Do I need to be a member of Craftster to enter my project contest?
Yes. You do need to register at Craftster
just so we have a "username" and email address associated with
your entry. It's totally free to register at Craftster.
Do I need to be located in the U.S. to win the prizes?
Nope. The prizes can be shipped to where you are located.
Can I enter more than one design?
Nope. One entry per person. You can, however, enter both the craft contest
and the t-shirt design contest.
Can I create my design on paper and then scan it in? Or do I have
to create it on the computer using a graphics program?
You can certainly create your design on paper and then scan it in. If
you win, a designer will be able to convert your design into something
that can be printed on t-shirts.
If you do create your design on paper, be absolutely sure to keep the
original drawing even after you've scanned it just in case we need
you to scan it again later with specific settings.
If I create my design on the computer, do I need to use fancy,
shmancy graphics software to create my design as a vector image since
(if I win!) it might eventually be printed onto t-shirts?
This would be ideal. But if you don't know how to do this, have no fear.
If your entry wins, we will have an expert translate your design into
the right format for printing purposes.
Also note that you must upload your graphic in GIF or JPEG format for
the contest and then if you win, you can provide us with a vector file
later if you have a vector version.
Can I use imagery in my t-shirt design that I didn't come up with?
Like clip art for example?
Nope. Your design must be 100% original and created by you. When you enter
your design in the contest, you must agree that there are no copyright
violations with the design you enter.
What about any fonts for wording I might be using in my t-shirt
design? I know that not all fonts legally can be used on merchandise?
We want you use a font that is legally ok. Just in case there is a problem,
we reserve the right to substitute a font that's ok to use and is as similar
as possible.
How do I enter my t-shirt design?
Come back to the contest page between July 15 - August 15 and look for
the UPLOAD button.
Who will own the rights to the t-shirt design if I win the contest?
If you win, you will still own the rights but you will be granting licensing
rights to 350.org and distributors to market and sell the design incorporated
into a t-shirt.
I still have questions, what do I do?
